Size and fit

The mid-top Keen Austin Casual Waterproof Cleat is available from 7 to 17, in US sizing. Many commented that it runs large. It would be advisable to reduce at least a half size from the wearer’s usual measurements to get the most desirable fit.

Custom orthotics can be used on this mid-top, because of the removable metatomical EVA insole. This footbed provides moderate arch support and molds to the shape of the user’s foot.

KEEN Austin Casual Waterproof Boot Style

Under no circumstances, the Keen Austin Casual Waterproof Cleat is considered eye-catching. It doesn’t have any intricate detailing on its water-resistant premium leather upper. Still, its straightforward design has endeared a lot of customers. By having the appearance of a hiking cleat or a work shoe, it definitively raised its rate of wearability. With its monochromatic color options, the mid-top blends in naturally with casual or semi-formal clothes.

Notable Features

As the name implies, the sneaker provides a remarkable degree of water resistance, thanks to the PFC-free water repellent aspect of the premium leather upper. Keen has used Cleansport NXT on most of its shoes for natural odor control, and the Austin Casual Waterproof Cleat is no different. For added comfort, a breathable mesh lining is situated on the interior.

KEEN Austin Casual Waterproof Boot History

The Keen Austin is one of the pioneer shoes of the brand. It was originally released in 2003, the inaugural year of the Keen company itself. Since its introduction until today, the Keen Austin has remained in production, thanks to the overwhelmingly positive responses it got from wearers. Numerous follow-up models have been released over the years. One of the recent additions, the Keen Austin Casual Waterproof Cleat, is a mid-top water-resistant variety of the 2003 classic.

Additional Info

  • The leather upper came from LGW-certified tanneries.
