Who should buy the Jordan Trainer Pro
The Jordan Trainer Pro is a cross-training shoe designed for men. However, women interested in this shoe have to keep in mind that
there is approximately a 1 ½ size difference between men's shoe sizes compared to theirs. It is a solid option if:
- You are looking for a shoe that looks great both for casual and gym purposes.
- You are into a brutal training routine and are after a pair that could endure enormous friction brought about by the said activity.
- Your daily activities require you to change footwear often and you need a shoe that could be slipped on with ease.
Enhanced outsole durability
The underside of the Jordan Trainer Pro is lined with rubber. This compound was found to be durable, withstanding excessive friction during hardcore training sessions. There are also rubber pods protecting hard-wearing areas such as the toes and the heel. This additional layer protects the outsole from getting worn out quickly.
The outsole of this model also employs the Flightflex technology. It is the use of sipings which are deep, thin slices on the rubber that promote natural foot movements in any direction.
The rubber outsole provides traction on most types of indoor and outdoor surfaces. The grip is enhanced by the triangular tread pattern speckled on its surface. It also extends to the front of the footgear, protecting the toes from bumps during some moves like sled pushes, burpees, and toes-to-bars.
Responsive low-profile midsole
Protecting the foot from impact is the Phylon midsole. This cushioning unit employs compressed ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) foam pellets. It is described by some to be low-profile, also providing surefootedness to its wearers. It is also lightweight and responsive, keeping feet moving quickly.
The midsole extends upwards in some areas of the Jordan Trainer Pro. It is visibly higher on the medial and lateral sides of the midfoot, rendering support during quick lateral cuts. It is also high around the heel, making a cup-like structure that securely holds the rearfoot in place, preventing slippage inside the trainer.
The Jordan Trainer Pro's breathable upper
This Jordan trainer sports a full cleatie construction. The medial and lateral sides of the ankle are left open, thereby promoting full ankle mobility as well as making it easier to slip on the trainer.
The upper is made from a breathable, lightweight material that allows the foot chamber to remain fresh while training. It is also soft and hugs the foot well, providing maximum support.
Enhanced lateral support
The midfoot is adorned with fit-enhancing structures such as the lacing system and the gore strap. The laces loop through webbed eyelets which helps in enhancing the lateral support of the upper when the strings are cinched.
Dynamic locked-down fit
As for the gore strap, this stretchy element is present both at the midfoot and around the heel, delivering a dynamic locked-down fit. This component stretches out, accommodating the foot as it enters and exits the shoe, and returns to its original state to properly hold the foot down. The Jordan brand name is placed on the rear gore strap.
Abrasion-resistant overlays
A synthetic overlay wraps around the bottom section of the forefoot. Not only does this layer protect the underlying fabric from abrasion, but it also secures the webbed eyelets on the upper.
The Jordan Trainer Pro's collar
The Trainer Pro from Jordan also employs a lightly padded tongue and collar. The tongue is attached to the upper, limiting how wide the mouth of the footwear can be opened, but the hollowed out portion of the ankle makes up for this. The plush collar prevents heel slippage and keeps the Achilles area free from irritation.
There are pull loops on top of the tongue and the back of the collar. These structures aid in putting on the trainer quicker.
Completing the look of the footgear is the Jumpman logo. It is placed on the pull loop on the tongue and at the toe section of the rubber.
