Good to know

  • The Jordan Trainer 3 is a workout shoe which succeeds the Air Jordan Trainer 2 Flyknit. The new model features a more lightweight and supportive build for a more comfortable experience from the street to the gym, according to the claims of the brand. It borrowed the low-profile aesthetics from the original version, but made its features sleeker and more minimalistic.
  • The upper is shaped to be more angled and sharp. It also now uses the Hyperweave fabric, a combination of textile and synthetic materials. It is designed to be breathable and stretchy for barely-there sensation and freedom of movement. The cleatie has also been retired.
  • It has kept the Nike Zoom Air cushioning and foam midsole. However, it has done away with the Flightflex technology.
  • The outsole still employs rubber, but it appears more opaque than its predecessor. While it still boasts of the Jumpman logo, the tread pattern has also been changed to geometric marks.

The Jordan Trainer 3 is designed to accommodate the foot shape and biomechanics of men. It follows the standard US shoe sizing scheme, ranging from 7 to 18 with half sizes available. It only comes in one width profile, D - Medium.

A durable rubber tread covers the bottom of the Jordan Trainer 3. It offers multi-directional traction on various types of surfaces. It is patterned with a geometric design, while the iconic Jumpman logo is featured prominently on the heel area.

The platform is made up of several components to provide energy return and cushioning. It features a lightweight foam midsole to buffer the impact and protect the foot. It gives a comfortable underfoot feeling as well.

The Zoom Air unit is installed in the forefoot. It is a responsive material that helps the foot propel forward upon striking the ground. This type of cushioning is often found in Nike's basketball shoes as it accommodates quick cuts and rapid multi-directional movements.

The Jordan Trainer 3 utilizes the proprietary Hyperweave material. It is stretchable and breathable to afford a cozy and flexible feeling during workouts.

Just like in its predecessor, a midfoot strap secures the fit of the footwear. It wraps around the instep to prevent accidental shoe removal and foot wobbling.

A traditional lacing system supplements the fit. It also reinforces the sides for lateral support.

To celebrate the start of a new NCAA soccer season, the brand has released its latest workout trainer in four special colorways. The Jordan Trainer 3 is featured in the official colors and branding of the following college teams: the Michigan Wolverines, the Oklahoma Sooners, the UNC Tar Heels, and the Florida Gators.
