Size and fit

The Hanwag Tatra Light GTX is a mid-top day hiking boot made for men and women. Wearers are able to achieve a personalized and secure lockdown using its two-zone lacing system. Moreover, its cuff is equipped with Hanwag’s LFX technology to render an ergonomic fit around the ankle.

Outsole

This waterproof boot for outdoorsy individuals delivers traction using its Vibram Integral Light outsole. Its profile comes with a patented 3D PrismBase technology, which employs a pattern of prism-like lugs, to keep wearers surefooted. It is also made of specialized Vibram rubber compound for durability and abrasion resistance.

A climbing zone feature is positioned on the forefoot area for extra control when ascending. Its rearfoot region houses both a grooved design and a heel brake for added stopping power. Moreover, the sole’s front end extends upward to protect the user’s toes from stubbing.

Midsole

The Hanwag Tatra Light GTX for men and women features a midsole made of PU foam. This resilient material is known to render a cushioned ride while reducing impact from uneven surfaces.

A thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) shank is embedded into the midsole’s heel to midfoot area for torsional stability and rigidity. Moreover, an insole is placed on top of the midsole for added comfort underfoot and cushioning.

Upper

The Hanwag Tatra Light GTX is equipped with an upper made of suede leather. It contains a Gore-Tex laminate underneath to prevent water intrusions while allowing excess moisture and heat to escape. A sturdy rubber cap is found on the toe box to shield the user’s toes from trail dangers.

The Tatra Light GTX’s two-zone lacing system uses a series of fabric eyelets and click-clamp hooks to help the wearer manage its fit. Its cuff features Hanwag’s LFX technology, which cushions the ankle and stabilizes it during movement. This component also works with a padded tongue to promote comfort.
