-Designed for long day hikes in wet or dry conditions, this shoe has the Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane that keeps the foot dry in wet conditions. It is also equipped with the GEL rearfoot cushioning for shock absorption.

-The AHAR Plus rubber outsole features an engineered pattern designed for high traction and grip.

-This shoe also has an EVA midsole that offers ample cushioning and support without the extra weight.

The Haglöfs Krusa GT is a low-top hiker with a lace-up closure that facilitates convenient adjustment of the fit wherever needed. The leather upper conforms to the shape of the foot, giving the wearer a snug fit after some time of use.

The AHAR Plus sole is made with a rubber compound that is also used in tire cars. It offers superior abrasion resistance, durability, and improved grip. All these make the Krusa GT ideal for hiking in different terrains, from urban roads to muddy trails and slippery slopes.

The most striking quality of the AHAR plus sole is its abrasion resistance which greatly influences the life of the shoe. According to ASICS, this outsole is three times more resilient to abrasion than conventional rubber.

The midsole, which provides the much-needed cushion for the foot, is made with ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA). This material is incredibly lightweight and flexible, which are important features you need from a hiking shoe.

EVA also offers increased shock absorption and a higher bounce rate which means your feet won’t get tired easily when traversing challenging trails. This midsole material is fairly durable as well.

For the upper, the Krusa GT features Nubuck leather which is sourced from a tannery certified by the LWG (Leather Working Group) as “having minimal environmental footprint”. It is treated with a fluorocarbon-free solution that enhances its longevity and resistance to rain and water.

The shoe interior is lined with Gore-Tex Extended Comfort - a waterproof membrane that is said to be much more breathable than the earlier versions of Gore-tex. It’s designed around a three-layer laminate that is non-insulated, thereby reducing the likelihood of overheating. Nonetheless, hikers with waterproof membranes tend to get a little warmer in extremely hot weather. Good thing, the Krusa GT is low-cut so your feet won’t feel suffocated when hiking in the summer.

Additionally, this shoe also features the Gel Rearfoot Cushioning which works by reducing impact during heel strike and enhancing the shock absorption properties of the shoe. The gel is made of inert polymers inserted into the rearfoot area. Aside from the mentioned benefits, this gel cushioning also promotes foot stability, gait, and comfort.
