Size and fit
The men’s Globe Dart LYT shoes are available in sizes ranging from 5 to 14. The sizing isn’t accurate, however. They run short by about a half size so you’d need to adjust your measurement when purchasing.
When it comes to support, these kicks offer plenty. The arches and ankles are amply supported by the combined tongue and collar design, which also work to secure the shoes to the feet. Cushioning is a different matter altogether because as comfy as these shoes can be, they probably won’t be enough for impact skating.
A three-pair eyelet lacing system provides room for fit customization. Heel pull tabs make taking the sneakers on and off a breeze.
Globe Dart LYT Style
The design of Globe Dart LYT sneakers vary a lot depending on the colorway, but one thing remains the same: They all look dope, to paraphrase a user.
Some are tonal, some feature graphics, some have perforations all over, and some combine solid shades and graphic prints seamlessly. The fabrics differ too. There are ones that utilize nylon, several with mesh, some with knit, a handful with suede, and a few with chambray uppers.
The styling is super casual and something that you might wear for doing errands, skating in the streets, or socializing with friends.
Some colorways of Globe Dart LYTs include light grey & white, stone knit, black mesh, grey chambray, and much more.
These sport-inspired shoes are packed with a ton of technological features to make them functional and wearable for skate-specific and everyday lifestyle use.
Hikari Infinity Sole is a new technique where the uppers are blended with the soles to do away with the need for a conventional system of a lasting board layer and separate footbed. This makes the shoes far more durable than using the regular method.
The shoes also contain breathable Airolyte insoles that reduce heat as well as Phylon midsoles and Nitrolite EVA outsoles that work together for enhanced shock absorption.
Globe Dart LYT History
Dart LYTs come from a skater-owned company with a long history of enriching and promoting the sport.
Universal Skateboard Importers was a skateboarding equipment importing company founded by three Australian brothers—Peter, Stephen, and Matt Hill—back in 1985. The brothers, two of whom were former skateboarding champions, cited their non-satisfaction with the availability of skate products in the Australian market that time as a reason for putting up their company.
In 1986, the Hills changed the name of their business to Hardcore Enterprises. This company busied itself with promoting skateboarding throughout Australia through skate books, tours, and competitions held all over the country. It became the driving force for the rapid growth of the sport in Australia and New Zealand in the 80s.
The business grew exponentially in just a few years. Proprietary brands were established along the way, including Globe, which was founded in 1994. Two years later, this brand established a North American Division and would set about conquering the U.S. market with its highly innovative and functional skating products.
