Construction of the Giro Berm

The Berm by Giro is an MTB shoe that integrates cycling-specific elements such as clipless pedal compatibility with super grippy outsoles for off-bike necessities. With upper made from flexible and resilient synthetic materials and breathable mesh, protection and airflow are administered.

The rubber outsole with vigorous lugs provides the traction while the dual hook-and-look retention system makes adjustments smooth and instant. Lastly, injected inner nylon shanks supply enough power transfer with every pedal.

Traction and rigidity. Equipped with aggressively lugged rubber outsoles, the Giro Berm yields a good grip on rocks to keep the wearer upright. As for the power transfer, stout injected nylon inner shanks placed right under the cleat area are responsible for this. They help translate every watt of energy exerted from the rider onto the bike.

Cleat System

This cycling shoe employs the classic 2-hole MTB cleat design. Try the following pedals to pair with this shoe: Burgtec MK4 Composite, Nukeproof Horizon Pro Sam Hill, and Pedaling Innovations Catalyst.

Thanks to this footwear’s recessed cleat design, wearers can walk more comfortably and could possibly pair it with flat MTB pedals.

Protective and durable. Employed with rock print reinforced toe, bumps, and impacts are dampened, which ultimately protects the foot. Another function of this added layer is its enhancement of the shoe’s overall durability.

Easy adjustments. Dual strap closure offers on-the-go adjustments and effortless putting on and taking off.

Comfort. With the upper’s construction crafted from supple synthetic fiber and mesh inserts, the foot remains feeling pleasant throughout the ride.

The Giro Berm mountain bike shoe employs footbeds made from die-cut Ethylene Vinyl Acetate. This provides essential cushioning for enhanced comfort.
