The Garmont Integra High WP Thermal boots are a high-top model with a lace-to-toe closure for a secure fit. It extends up to the collar, giving the wearer an option to adjust the tightness of the shoe around the ankle differently from the forefoot. The fabric upper is also stretchy, wrapping the foot comfortably. Lastly, this boot is constructed using an ErGo last - an anatomical last with rounded contours that cradle the foot particularly around the heel and arch areas. It doesn't just create a custom fit but also offers enhanced support and cushioning.

This boot has a roomy toe box to accommodate the natural position of the big toe. Also, the differential ankle pads securely lock the heel in place for a precise fit around the ankle bones.

This shoe features a Vibram Extended outsole that contains the Ice Trek compound - a high-quality rubber specifically developed for winter hiking. Unlike traditional soles, the Vibram Extended is relatively softer which allows it to adhere to smooth surfaces and grip on ice. The multi-directional small pointed lugs offer improved traction on wet and slippery trails while the wide contact surfaces allow for better stability while walking.

The Integra High WP Thermal boot makes use of an EVA midsole, like most other hiking boots. What makes this shoe unique, however, is the integration of the Dual Damper technology - a two-part system that promotes shock absorption. Basically, it is consists of a midsole shock absorber, the Frameflex midsole, and an internal shock absorber. The EVA midsole "dampens" ground impact while the internal EVA midsole "dampens" heel impact. These result in increased cushioning and less fatigue. Meanwhile, the Frameflex insole helps lessen foot movement within the shoe for greater stability and comfort.

The boot also comes with a thermal footbed with an aluminum layer for added warmth.

This shoe features a synthetic upper that is highly resistant to wear. It's constructed using the Garmont’s Anatomically Directed Design (ADD) technology, featuring an asymmetrical cuff, an anatomical tongue, and a roomy toe box.
