Good to know
Being an outdoor shoe entitles the Fila Trailblazer with sufficient padding around the collar. The stiffness of the upper is compensated by a plush interior. Though everything is lifestyle-oriented with this sneaker, the lugs on its outsole beg to differ.
Men are fortunate to cop a piece in size ranging from 6.5 to 13, including half sizes. A women’s version is also made available in sizes starting from 5 to 12, which also contains half sizes. If options for women are scarce, the ladies can resort to the men’s standard and remember to go down one and a half proportions to obtain the adequate fit.
Even before the dad shoe trend ripened to its full bloom in 2018, Fila had already capitalized on it in 2016. Their shoe of choice is the Fila Trailblazer. The clunkiness of the sneaker taps two platforms of style on the opposite sides of the functional spectrum. One can look at it at as a hiking-inspired sneaker evident with the aggressive lugs underneath the sole, but some can take it as a contemporary option for streetwear.
Men and women are privileged to flaunt a pair of these bad boys with outgoing clothes that are can harness the spirit of the wild. Kidding aside, cargo pants that rests above the ankle are a sure hit with the sneaker’s rustic vibe. Shorts are also a popular choice with either the ladies or the gentlemen, but other casual clothes like joggers straight pants would also make the cut.
From afar, the Fila Trailblazer can be easily distinguished with other usual silhouettes due to its hiking structure exemplified by the D-ring eyelets and the round laces. It also contains a generous amount of Fila branding along the sides and a noticeable Fila Mountaineering logo at the tongue.
From the likes of Bjorn Borg and other promising artists way back in the day, Fila had been dressing up athletes towards their success. The Italian brand was established in 1911 in Biella, Italy by the Fila brothers who initially produces several kinds of textiles. The company’s continued success enabled them to penetrate numerous types of market, including footwear.
Tennis players were hot during the 70s and drafting Borg as Fila’s brand ambassador was a humongous step for fame. Not only does the sneakers worn by the artists perform, but it was also classified as one of the stylish shoes of the era. Fila prizes themselves with quality fabrics, a nod to their roots, and a passion for performance.
The ‘80s gave birth to another opportunity for Fila. Diversifying into the outdoors, the Biella-born brand created a whole series of mountain gears including kits and whatnots. It is in the same instance that the brand conceptualized the Fila mountaineering logo and stamped it on their apparel, including footwear.
Inspired by the ‘90s hiking cleat, the company introduced a particular shoe in 2016 called the Trailblazer. Complete with D-ring metal eyelets and a lugged outsole, the sneaker traverses platforms of style and penetrates the fashion market.
