History of the Fila Creator

Fila Creator chunky shoe

Italian brothers, the Filas, established Fila company in 1911 that produced textile for their town called Biella.

From manufacturing textile, the company evolved through the years, which led them as one of the top producers of high-end athletic wear in the current market.

Fila initially engineered footwear for the tennis sport. The company endorsed several topnotch tennis athletes such as Boris Becker, Bjorn Borg, Monica Seles, Jennifer Capriati, and Kim Clijsters.

Unlike Nike and Reebok, Fila was not able to become a hit brand and unfortunately continued to lie behind the giant sportswear brands.

In 1994, Fila was able to secure endorsement deals with the NBA Superstar Grant Hill and the winning skier Alberto Tomba.

This move catapulted the success of Fila in the footwear domain as many started to recognize the quality and style of their product line. Since then, the brand was able to take in other sports, such as soccer, baseball, and even motorsport.

Years passed, several adversities had happened to Fila; thus, to save the company, the brand had undergone several acquisitions and mergers.

In 2003, Fila was acquired by a Korean company and developed it into a high-fashion brand. The new owner established Fila headquarters in Mila and worked their way up to be recognized as a top-notch brand of sneakers and apparel.

Among the brand’s lifestyle shoes is the Fila Creator. Flaunting a chunky sole, it’s a kick you won’t miss with its trendy and unique aesthetics.
