Size and fit

Etnies Senix Lo skate shoes come from Etnies’ low-top lineup. These are offered in measurements ranging from 5 to 15. Half sizes are also available until 11.5. This is pretty cool as many other brands don’t provide such a wide range of sizes.

Women who like the Etnies brand and who’d love to skate in these amazing kicks can do so provided the user goes down by 1.5 sizes from her usual shoe size.

The shoes are well-padded for a comfortable fit, and the leather or suede uppers provide enough lateral support. A regular lace-up construction enables the wearer to adjust the fit accordingly.

Etnies Senix Lo Style

Loose and comfy is the name of the game when it comes to skating. But that does not mean just putting on any old tee for practicality. Skaters also have good fashion sense, if a little bit anti-authoritarian.

Dark hoodies combined with neutral-hued cropped trousers not only look good, but they’re also functional. Get a brightly-colored tee and wear it underneath your hoodie for a bright pop of color. The white and red/black/white colorways of Etnies Senix Lo sneakers against a mostly dark ensemble are just too good to resist.

The navy/white/gum color scheme meanwhile can be mixed with chinos and a dark-colored (blue or maroon would be nice) logo tee.  A polo shirt in place of the tee can give your ensemble a bit of a polished look.

Notable Features

Etnies is known for its highly stylish yet uber functional skate kicks. Etnies Senix Lo shoes only reinforce this impression. The shoes feature double Strobel stitching on the external sidewalls to enhance durability. The chunky, mid-puff silhouette allows for more padding to protect your feet from the board. And of course, the Foam Lite 1 insoles keep you in comfort while providing high-impact rebound cushioning.

Etnies Senix Lo History

Etnies Senix Lo sneakers are comeback forms of that iconic 80s model (1988, to be exact)—the Senix. Designed by none other than Etnies’ current owner himself, retired pro-skateboarder Pierre André Sénizergues, the silhouette was known for being grippy, well-cushioned, and providing exceptional board feel.

In the Fall of 2018, the Etnies brand released a lineup of their classic shoes because of a strong public clamor for the 90s trend. It called this the Etnies Icon Collection. The line includes their shoe releases that the 90s generation greatly identifies with and would like to see again. One of the sneaker models included was the Senix Lo silhouette.

The Senix Lo carries most of the DNA of its 80s ancestor but utilizes more updated materials and cushioning system.
