ECCO BIOM Fjuel Train History
Karl Toosbuy, having been trained early in shoe crafting, had his eyes set on a goal to run a footwear company at a young age. In 1963 his vision came true and founded ECCO. Karl wanted to manufacture shoes that allow feet to take control of every stride instead of the shoe doing all the work.
The brand immediately followed the success of the ECCO Joke with two other iconic ECCO classics called Free and Time that helped boost the company’s success to an international level. As a result, ECCO expanded its reach and established production facilities in countries like Thailand, Indonesia, and Slovakia.
In 2006, ECCO launched its best technology yet – the BIOM. It aims to provide superb comfort, control, and support while enhancing the foot’s natural movement. The technology was well-received that it has been applied onto countless BIOM sneaker models and become the brand’s crowd puller.
The BIOM has been applied to several ECCO shoe models – from casual shoes to hiking shoes and even golf shoes. One of them is the ECCO BIOM Fjuel Train, a sneaker-style pair that integrates both style and function through its stylish upper and efficient BIOM-equipped midsole.
