Good to know
- The Dynafit Feline Vertical was meant for runners who like to go fast while running on the trails. With the technologies it is equipped with, it can take on short and medium runs and steep gradients while delivering enough grip and protection.
- The lugs were designed specifically for vertical ascent and descent. Combined with the MegaGrip Vibram Compound, it delivers a reliable hold on wet and uneven surfaces, as it brings continual awareness of friction and security underfoot. Being aware allows runners to utilize more leg power to take on the trail.
- The Minimal Fit System was incorporated on the upper to make it light and minimalist, yet reactive. This design feature keeps the fit snug on the heel, forefoot and midfoot, delivering an accommodating upper that feels secure and comfortable.
- The female version of the Feline Vertical is shaped differently than the male version. It was designed based on the female runner’s natural foot contours. Dynafit’s gender-specific design enables female runners to perform better.
The Dynafit Feline Vertical is available in standard running shoe sizes. Both male and female runners can make use of their usual size preferences. Similarly, the width also comes in standard measurements – B – medium and D – medium.
The rubber material the outsole is made of is called MegaGrip by Vibram. It is a high-performance compound that delivers good grip on both wet and dry surfaces. It also provides runners with excellent ground adaptability. The MegaGrip is a kind of rubber that’s sticky, so runners feel more surefooted with this feature.
Dynafit calls the outsole on this shoe as their Vertical Outsole. Arrow-like lugs were formed, pointing to different directions. These lugs permit the shoe to hold on to uneven, wet, and technical surfaces with the runner feeling sure and confident with every step.
This shoe was designed with a Vertical Midsole. Its design features were meant for vertical climbing. The heel-to-toe drop was reduced, and the bulk was made low so that runners don’t feel like they are weighed down. This set-up also delivers a better feel of the ground.
The Brooks Glycerin 16 is a comparable road-running counterpart to the Dynafit Feline Vertical. Both shoes are designed for neutral pronators and can handle the stress of daily running.
The upper has the Minimal Fit System. Some areas of the breathable mesh material, which allows proper ventilation, were reinforced with a synthetic overlay. The overlay covers the tip of the forefoot, the entirety of the midfoot, and it forms the shape of a heel counter on the heel. It is part of the lacing system, so tightening the laces will tighten the fit on the areas the overlay covers. Since it is concentrated on the midfoot, the snugness will help lock this part of the foot minimally, preventing it from moving laterally during runs.
Runners have the convenience of lacing or loosening up their shoe with minimal tugging. This is because of the design of the eyelets, how the laces are intertwined, and the kind of shoelace that was used. All of these compose the Quick Lacing System.
An extra layer of cushioning was added in the form of the Ortholite Sockliner. It also provides lasting comfort and protection against objects on the trail. Additionally, the sockliner has anti-bacterial and moisture wicking properties, keeping the foot dry and odor-free.
