Notable Features

DC has always been known for its skate shoes that function with style. Although there is a wide array of stylish skate shoes that the brand has been producing for over a decade, there is a sense of individuality that makes each shoe model stand out from the others.

DC Tonik Laces

With its suede-canvas upper and vulcanized sole, the DC Tonik may look like any other skate shoes out there. However, it is in the little details that make it distinctive. The minimally padded collar boasts a canvas piping for added durability and comfort, while its heel counter, higher than most low-top skate shoes, is shaped to provide extra protection to the heel. Visible on the high wear areas of the upper is triple stitching reinforcement.

History of the DC Tonik

DC Shoes is an American company that produces footwear, apparel, and accessories for casual use and extreme sports such as skateboarding and snowboarding. It was established by Damon Way and Ken Block in 1994. On March 8, 2004, Quicksilver bought the brand for roughly $87 million.

DC Tonik Outsole

For more than two decades now, DC Shoes has been crafting skate shoes fitting the style of both skaters and non-skaters. These shoes are made to perform and built with materials and technologies suited for skateboarding.

DC Tonik Heel

One of the favorites is the DC Tonik skate shoe. It has a low-top construction, a one-piece suede toe cap with hints of canvas on the rest of the upper, and a vulcanized rubber outsole equipped with pill-patterned treads. It further received a mid-top version, called the DC Tonik Mid, and several iterations with the likes of Tonik SE, Tonik XE, Tonik TX SE, Tonik S, and Tonik KB.
