By the year 2000, the company recorded around $60 million in sales. To further strengthen its popularity, the company sponsored skateboarding teams in various countries such as Australia, China, Spain, and Norway. Eventually, in 2014, the sponsorship discontinued.

In 2004, DC Shoes was acquired for $87 million by Quiksilver, an American retail sporting company. With the help of Quiksilver, the company earned $1 billion in revenue in the same year. Since 2010, DC Shoes transferred its headquarters to the same state where Quicksilver’s office is, in the seaside city of Huntington Beach which still stands today.
