Good to know

Comfort is a given for this DC shoe through its multi-layered upper construction. This is reinforced with a padded sensation through a high-density foam placed at the tongue and collar areas.

This DC Legacy OG’s sizing is made available in men and women’s variations with differences in the colorways. The women’s versions of the pair make use of a lighter colorway.

Using a central lacing system, the user is afforded fit personalization. Enhancing the aesthetic value of the feature are rubber lace loops used in the pair’s construction.

Considered to be one of DC’s polarizing shoe designs, one either loves or hates the DC Legacy OG sneaker. Hailed to be one of the brand's flashier models, the pair may very well go with some casual clothes to balance out the more eye-catching elements of the DC Shoes Legacy. Due to the conspicuous nature of this sneaker, the model may very well go with some neutral-colored clothes to create a balanced look.

Rubber loops found at the front and heel areas of the shoe have been made available to allow for easier access when putting on the pair. Additionally, a wrap-around layer of TPR has been incorporated into the shoe’s design for added durability. The same material also makes for the logo embedded into several areas of the shoe.

Other parts of the shoe featuring the official brand logo also include the tongue as well as the toecap. Additionally, printed across the lateral side of the shoe is the word ‘DCSHOEUSA’.

With a longstanding history within the skateboarding world, a certain aesthetic comes to mind when people think about DC Shoes. Founded in 1994, the company has since made history and has partnered with some of the biggest athlete names, particularly in extreme sports. The company has since made strides in terms of style and innovation, as well. Competing with some of the biggest brands in footwear, with some creations seemingly taking inspiration from their competitors, DC is not showing any signs of slowing down any time soon.

With an apparent influence from the Air Max of 1995, it’s no wonder this pair does not resemble the look of a modern DC shoe. This innovation by Danny Way and Collin McCay makes use of the wavy aesthetic of its muse. The pair held the spotlight with the Beastie Boys during the band’s promo for Hello Nasty in 1998. Considered as a high tech creation back in the day, these cleats hold a TPU arch as well as reinforced shock absorbing qualities.

  • The DC Legacy OG shoe features a Thermopolyurethane arch in the midsole.
  • A Dime x DC Legacy collaboration took place in 2017 springing some additional colorways for the DC shoe.
