Size and fit

The Danner TrailTrek Light is a men’s hiking shoe offered in whole and half sizes. It is available in standard and wide widths. The shoe is built on DPDX, a low-profile last that keeps a streamlined design while having a roomy feel. Its lace-up closure system grants a personalized fit.

This low-cut day hiking shoe is equipped with a Danner Alpine Ascender Light outsole. Its surface is filled with an aggressive lug pattern for multi-directional traction. The triangular-shaped lugs provide grip on different types of terrain. The unit slightly extends upward at the front to protect the forefoot area.

Using a Danner Plyolite as its midsole, the TrailTrek Light renders a supportive and cushioned ride. It’s made of EVA, making this component lightweight.

The boot comes with a removable Ortholite footbed. It has varying densities of polyurethane foam which grants cushioning and support. Also, the footbed’s open-cell design allows it to manage moisture. A nylon shank grants enough support while maintaining flexibility.

Suede leather overlays and nylon panels make up most of the Danner TrailTrek Light’s upper for durability and comfort. The Danner Dry membrane makes it a shoe with protection against water intrusions. This feature also promotes breathability by allowing moisture to pass through. A soft fabric lining creates a plush in-shoe feel for the user. In addition, the padded collar and tongue grant comfort.

This shoe features combination eyelets and flat laces in its lace-up closure. A rear pull tab allows a quick on and off. Furthermore, the Danner TrailTrek Light is reinforced with a heel counter and toe rand for additional protection.
