Updates to Brooks Ghost 8

  • The Brooks Ghost 8 comes with impressive and new features such as the engineered mesh upper that is breathable, and comfortable. This new construction and engineering of the upper enhances the fit as well as the support in the mid-foot area while keeping the toe box roomy.
  • This shoe is also constructed with a new full-length segmented Crash Pad, leaving the ride feels more comfortable and a smoother heel to toe transition. It also provides a snap during toe-off for gait cycle support and comfort.

Size and fit

The Ghost 8 comes in a standard running shoe length. The toe box and the mid-foot area are both roomy and snug, and the heel area is comfortable as well. This road shoe offers a true to size and width accommodation that fits well to a wide range of foot measurements.


Outsole

The Brooks Ghost 8 has an outsole of HPR Plus, which is a high abrasion resistant and offers excellent traction and durability at the same time. Slipping is never a problem whether on wet or dry grounds. This is also constructed with the Blown Rubber material for flexibility and durability while keeping responsiveness an edge.


Midsole

The Ghost 8 uses the BioMoGo DNA midsole, which is the signature midsole of Brooks brand. It is also used in the Brooks Ghost 11. This is a full-length midsole made with aggressive waffle rubber that provides adaptation for an all-weather ground feel.

The midsole is also constructed with the Omni Flex Grooves for added flexibility and the Cush Pod configuration in both the outsole and midsole. The Caterpillar Crash Pad in segmented form moves with the foot when running as it provides a smooth heel-to-toe transition. It offers the stability and the soft cushioning at the same time.


Upper

The upper of the Ghost 8 is made from the Element Mesh, keeping the foot cool and dry during the performance. The Element Linings are also there under the upper mesh material. It provides moisture to comfort the foot. Synthetic Overlays are used for a snug fit and secure fit.

The Strobe Last is also used to provide flexibility and cushioning which is attached to the sole. The upper also has the Profile Sock liner made from BioMoGo foam. As a result, this shoe is soft, supportive, and comfortable for an enjoyable speed running.
