Balenciaga Tyrex: Inspired by human anatomy

Balenciaga releases a playful yet dramatic new silhouette that catches the eyes of many, the Balenciaga Tyrex. The design of this sneaker got its inspiration from the natural web of muscles beneath the skin. The unisex sneaker combines elements of sportswear, classic office shoes, and human anatomy to create the Tyrex.

Dissecting the Tyrex

The Tyrex silhouette is first released in four sleek colorways, including silver/black, neon yellow, black, and red/black. It is similar to the brand’s Triple S and Track trainers in a way that it features unconventional shapes and intricate detailing on the uppers.

Some of its highlighted features are as follow:

  • The Tyrex is a 100% leather-free sneaker that features an asymmetrical caged upper. It also has multiple overlay textured panels.
  • It has a square toe where the “TYREX” branding is located.
  • A subtle round honeycombed heel that adds height to the shoe finishes the look.
