The Brewess 2.0: An upgrade worth looking into?

An improvement to its predecessor, the Astral Brewess 2.0 is a piece of hiker that provides enhanced mobility in and around water (think streams and lakesides). Its changes are as follows:

Shaved-off weight. This version is lighter than the original Brewess by approximately 15 g per shoe. It rivals some of the lightest hiking sandals on the market, giving you even more freedom of movement, especially where wetness is involved.

Improved water channeling. Its drain ports are now located on both ends of the Brewess 2.0’s sole unit. This new placement allows for better drainage, which occurs naturally as the foot rolls.

Pull loop. Unlike its predecessor, this iteration comes with a heel loop for on-and-off assistance.

Water-repellent laces. These do not hold water when you wade through shallow waters, preventing extra weight as a result.

Additional information

  • The Brewess 2.0 has a version made specifically for men, called the Brewer 2.0.
  • Its heel is collapsible, making the shoe a slip-on when folded in.
