Updates to Asolo Nucleon GV

  • Asolo created a versatile and lightweight hiking shoe in the Nucleon GV. Its suede leather upper with Schoeller soft shell fabric renders durability and flexibility. A Gore-Tex lining helps promote comfort. A toe cap adds protection and an uncomplicated lacing aids in a quick, precise adjustment.
  • As part of the brand’s A-Fast technology, the Asolo Nucleon GV has a sole unit that features the Synthesis outsole and a mono-density EVA midsole. The outsole delivers surface contact for grip while the midsole promotes comfort through its shock-attenuating capabilities.

Size and fit

The Asolo Nucleon GV hiking shoe caters to male and female hikers. It is offered in regular sizes and standard width. Its classic lacing system permits a snugger fit. It generally runs true to size.

Outsole

The Synthesis outsole, a product of the collaboration of Vibram and Asolo, uses the Megagrip compound. It renders traction on virtually all types of terrain through its durable and aggressive lugs. Its self-cleaning design prevents muck build-up, enhancing grip on ground surfaces, whether wet or dry. The sole extends a bit to the toes for reinforcement and additional protection.

Midsole

Using a mono-density EVA midsole, the Asolo Nucleon GV absorbs shock and maximizes energy return. It is built from a new-generation compound that offers resilience and adaptability. It works with the Lite 2 plus anatomic footbed which enhances comfort.

Upper

To shield foot from trail debris, the Nucleon GV uses a robust 1.6 - 1.8 mm suede leather. A supple Schoeller soft-shell fabric  gives flexibility and weather protection. A Gore-Tex Extended Comfort  laminate, on the other hand, handles waterproofing and promotes breathability through its non-insulated construction.

A rubber toe cap is added to safeguard the foot against minor knocks. A loop at the heel helps the user in donning and doffing the shoe.
