Good to know

The Roadblast road running shoe is a brand new silhouette from Asics. It is equipped with technical components that aim to deliver a comfortable and responsive running experience.

This lightweight running shoe features a gender-specific knit pattern that takes on the natural splay of women’s and men’s foot shapes. The knit upper is also responsible for providing breathability and targeted support.

This shoe introduces Asics’ new foam material called the FlyteFoam Blast™. This midsole technology is used to provide a dynamic and lasting rebound. A solid rubber outsole is also positioned below the midsole. The outsole offers excellent traction and protection against abrasion.

The Asics Roadblast is constructed with a standard running shoe length. It is crafted with a gender-specific upper that gives better fit and comfort tailored to the runner's foot.

Other elements that directly affect the fit of the shoe include the traditional lace-up closure. It offers an adjustable fit that meets personal preference. The Asics Roadblast also utilizes a minimally padded tongue and collar that help deliver a snugger and more comfortable in-shoe feel.

For exceptional durability, a solid rubber outsole is integrated into the Asics Roadblast. This component protects the foot and the rest of the platform from uneven surfaces and abrasive elements. The rubber outsole also supplies excellent traction on various paved surfaces.

The rubber outsole works in conjunction with the shape of the midsole foam. This structure is designed to help create a trampoline effect and improve propulsion in each stride.

The midsole unit of the Asics Roadblast utilizes the FlyteFoam Blast™ technology. It is a new foam technology from Asics that offers a bouncy energy return. This highly responsive cushioning material is positioned under the heel to amplify comfort and protection while running.

The FlyteFoam Blast™ technology is partnered with the AmpliFoam™ midsole, which is positioned under the forefoot. It is engineered to maintain durability at softer densities. This element offers enhanced flexibility and comfort for a more natural running experience.

The AmpliFoam™ midsole technology is also featured in other popular Asics running shoes such as the Asics Gel Contend 5.

The designers took account of the natural splay of men’s and women’s foot shapes while running and that is why a gender-specific knit pattern is used. The knitted top also allows for continuous airflow to keep the foot dry and cool throughout the day. The upper offers breathability without sacrificing support.

Providing a secure and personalized fit is the traditional lacing system. The shoelaces allow the user to easily adjust the tightness around the shoe.

A moderately padded collar and tongue are used in the Asics Roadblast. The collar provides comfort and protection around the heel, while the tongue protects the top of the foot from lace bite. The tongue also helps seal the opening of the shoe to prevent the entry of small rocks and debris.
