Efficient spike plate

Similar to the popular Nike Zoom Victory Elite 2, the ASICS Hyper MD 7 incorporates a Pebax Spike Plate that covers the forefoot. This is to create a rigid platform of propulsion, energizing the athlete's every stride.

A Rubber component is also smartly placed in the shoe's heel area to provide traction across the track. This then increases durability and at the same time, resists the traumas of heel-strike, making Hyper MD 7 a reliable and long-lasting race partner.

Lastly, the shoe's outsole has five removable pyramid spikes that offer excellent grip across every ground. The spikes help in improving athletic performance by enhancing efficiency while powering through the gait cycle.

Responsive midsole

Powering the midsole of the Hyper MD 7 is a dual-density EVA compound material that provides exceptional cushioning and comfort. This EVA midsole also lessens the impact and burden placed on the athlete's knees and joints throughout the run.

ASICS Hyper MD 7 cushion

Working together with the EVA compound is the Asics' FlyteFoam cushioning technology. This shoe technology allows easier lift-off so one can continue to smash their personal best in every competition with ease and comfort.

An EVA heel wedge also adds extra cushioning and versatility for sprinters who are seeking lightweight performance for 400m to 1000m and hurdles.

Light and breathable comfort

The upper of the Hyper MD 7 has been engineered using an open mesh material that offers optimal breathability and comfort during the run. The mesh material actively and efficiently wicks away the build-up of excess sweat and moisture, leaving the sprinter's feet cool, dry, and comfortable as they aim to reach their best performance.

ASICS has also added the no-sew film overlays to the shoe's upper. This has improved and reinforced the shoe's structure while at the same time, providing a durable and secure fit. The overlays also guard against irritation caused by friction of the shoe's heel on the skin, also known as chafing.
