Use - The Asics Hyper MD 7 is designed to run middle distances between 800m to 3000m. This lightweight model was crafted to be the ultimate shoe for middle-distance track and field athletes.
Spike Type - This track and field running shoe uses pyramid spikes that give the wearer a choice and further control whenever required.
Spike Plate - Pebax Spike Plate is located at the forefoot of the shoe, and it is designed for increased durability and traction on a variety of track surfaces.
The Pebax Spike Plate has a five-pin spike configuration, which gives the shoe excellent traction, especially when rounding the turns.
- The Asics Hyper MD 7 incorporates the FlyteFoam Cushioning. It allows a more comfortable lift off and lessens the burden placed on the runner’s knees and joints.
- The lightweight Pebax Spike Plate found on the shoe’s outsole features a more extended design with midfoot wraps. This offers optimal support to help the athlete get to the finish line faster.

The Hyper MD 7 is a unisex fit, although the shoes' sizes for this model are provided by Asics in men's sizing. To obtain a women's size, it is recommended to purchase the shoe 1.5 sizes smaller. The shoe's toe box width runs narrow while its toe box height is low. The Hyper MD 7 also features a medium to high arch and a low midfoot volume.
Similar to the popular Nike Zoom Victory Elite 2, the Asics Hyper MD 7 incorporates a Pebax Spike Plate that covers the forefoot. This is to create a rigid platform of propulsion, energizing the athlete's every stride. track and field
A Rubber component is also smartly placed in the shoe's heel area to provide traction across the track. This then increases durability and at the same time, resisting the traumas of heel-strike, making Hyper MD 7 a reliable and long-lasting race partner.
Lastly, the shoe's outsole has five removable pyramid spikes that offer excellent grip across every ground. The spikes help in improving athletic performance by enhancing efficiency while powering through the gait cycle.
Powering the midsole of the Hyper MD 7 is a dual-density EVA compound material that provides exceptional cushioning and comfort. This EVA midsole also lessens the impact and burden placed on the athlete's knees and joints throughout the run.
Working together with the EVA compound is the Asics' FlyteFoam cushioning technology. This shoe technology allows easier lift off so one can continue to smash their personal best in every competition with ease and comfort.
An EVA heel wedge also adds extra cushioning and versatility for sprinters who are seeking lightweight performance for 400m to 1000m and hurdles.
The upper of the Hyper MD 7 has been engineered using an open mesh material that offers optimal breathability and comfort during the run. The mesh material actively and efficiently wicks away the build-up of excess sweat and moisture, leaving the sprinter's feet cool, dry, and comfortable as they aim to reach their best performance.
Additionally, cool air is encouraged to permeate the shoe, creating a healthier environment for the feet to thrive in. Furthermore, the upper materials, in general, are extremely light in weight, which means it will not hold any athlete back or hinder their performance.
Asics has also added the no-sew film overlays to the shoe's upper. This has improved and reinforced the shoe's structure while at the same time, providing a durable and secure fit. The overlays also guard against irritation caused by friction of the shoe's heel on the skin, also known as chafing.
Finally, the shoe uses a padded tongue that sits comfortably against the skin, while a traditional lacing system ensures a snug fit.
