Asics GT 2000 9 Knit: Improved fit and breathability

What's different with the Asics GT 2000 9 Knit from its parent model is that—well, it's made of a knit upper, and the OG is of mesh fabric. With this iteration, the goal is to create a more foot-hugging wrap with a more ventilated feel.

A comfortable yet stable ride

The Asics GT 2000, like the Kayano series, is a staple Asics stability shoe line. And unlike other stability models, the Asics GT 2000 9 Knit does not forgo comfort in exchange for support. Rather, they go side by side, and to achieve this, the shoe applies the following Asics technologies:

  • Flyte Foam midsole provides lightweight cushioning
  • Incorporation of rear and forefoot Gel cushion highlights impact absorption
  • Employment of DuoMax Support System to guide and prevent the foot from having excess movements and create a seamless heel-to-toe transition

Who and what is it for?

The GT 2000 9 Knit from Asics is a mild stability shoe that's perfect for runners who slightly overpronate. Because of its features, it can handle slow-paced short runs best. For activities outside running, it's suitable for HIIT workouts and walks.

Good to know

The shoe is also available in a trail-ready version: GT 2000 9 Trail.
