Who should buy the ASICS Gel Resolution 7 Clay

ASICS added the clay court-specific Gel Resolution 7 to its expanding Gel Resolution family. This speed shoe came out ready for the challenges that are typically associated with clay-court matches. It is a solid option if you:

  • Need a shoe that is shielded with PGuard protector for durability and furnished with a high-abrasion rubber compound.
  • Need a shoe that has shock-absorbing gel pads lodged into the midsole.
  • Need a lightweight Solyte insole and responsive SpEVA midsole which leads to a fluid-like foot movement.

Full herringbone tread pattern

Fabricated explicitly for soft court use, the ASICS Gel Resolution 7 Clay has a full herringbone tread pattern which helps hold the foot in place.

The AHAR Plus specification placed in the outsole is as reliable as the highly durable rubber material utilized in car tires. Not only does it provide durability, stable grip too, but not too tacky to avoid unwanted twisting of the foot.

Trusstic System

Crafted to provide stable support for the foot is the Trusstic System. This resin-made platform is placed in the middle section of the shoe which inhibits torsion, so the wearer can switch direction in a heartbeat. Such component also gives the player the confidence to chase after the tennis ball without worrying about foot twisting as it strikes the ground.

Excellent arch support of the Gel Resolution 7

Another firm support that’s added in the medial heel section is the Duomax. It is made of a compact sponge to control overpronation and inhibit the foot from rolling inward efficiently.

Silicone-based technology

The silicone-based technology in the midsole is the core component of the ASICS Gel series. Such innovative material is encapsulated in the rearfoot and forefoot to decrease shock as the user’s foot strikes the ground. Plus, the gel pads help to propel the feet during toe-off. Given its cushioning properties, this feature is also devised to protect the foot from injuries.

Surrounding the Gel cushioning system is the tough-wearing Solyte midsole compound that’s lighter than ASICS’ typical EVA foam. Inside, the spongy SpEVA 45 insole offers an extra bounce to push the wearer to score points. The fusion of these two components creates a fluid-like foot motion, or as ASICS puts it, a Fluidride experience.

Interchangeable ortholite sockline

The interchangeable Ortholite sockliner, which is designed to mold to the shape of the foot offers form-fitting comfort. This removable insole can be replaced with custom orthotics.

Flexion Fit technology

The shoe’s outer membrane is designed using Flexion Fit technology that molds to the shape of the foot without compromising comfort. This upper composition is made of a TPU wrap over a sheet of mesh. It is intended to respond to every move while offering support where it’s needed, stability, and lightweight comfort.

PHF collar lining

Complementing this feature is the PHF collar lining made of two layers of memory foam. Aptly labeled as the Personal Heel Fit, this component hugs the foot for a tailored-like fit. Its anti-gravel tongue keeps dirt from entering the shoe during matches on clay.

The front part of the shoe is protected from immediate wear with the use of an extra layering of polyurethane material called PGuard.
