Superb performance on technical climbs

The Aku Serai GTX is a high-cut boot that performs well on technical climbing trips. Its upper is made of a combination of sturdy kevlar, nylon, and microfiber fabric materials.

The upper is lined with layers of Primaloft and Gore-Tex Insulated Comfort for water protection and thermal insulation.

Serai GTX offers cushioning and stability

The boot’s midsole incorporates a dual-density polyurethane (PU) exoskeleton for cushioning and stability. Its Vibram Nepal outsole is engineered to deliver traction on snow, ice and rocky ridges.

Narrow width profile

The Serai GTX is a high-cut, unisex mountaineering boot which is offered in a regular width profile. Women must go 1/2 size down to get the correct fit.

This Aku product comes in a range of whole and half sizes.

Closure system allows personalized fit

The gear’s lace-up closure system is paired with a velcro strap on the collar to achieve a secure and personalized fit. Moreover, the product fairly runs true to size.

This mountaineering boot is built on Aku’s Performance Fit last. Its fit is designed to give the wearer accuracy and perception needed for ice and rock climbing.

Grippy diamond-shaped lugs

Aku’s Serai GTX features a resoleable Vibram Nepal to render traction while being resistant to wear.

The diamond-shaped lugs are designed to grip on uneven terrains filled with ice and snow. The outsole’s heel brake delivers improved control in downhill conditions.

Mitigates shock impact

This high-cut mountaineering boot uses Aku’s patented Internal Midsole System (IMS) to create a cushioned and stabilized ride.

The gear’s exoskeleton construction contains a medium density PU layer for stability and protection. It also has a lightweight PU inner part for cushioning and shock absorbency.

Sufficient arch support

The Serai GTX’s carbon fiber lasting board is outfitted with a honeycomb alum core to make it stiff.

Its custom fit pro alum footbed grants arch support and underfoot comfort to the wearer. Also, the midsole’s heel and toe welts allow crampons to be attached to this boot.

Sturdy and resistant to abrasion

The Aku Serai GTX is equipped with a durable upper made of kevlar, nylon, and mycrofiber. These materials grant the boot with sturdiness and resistance to abrasion.

Its upper is lined with a layer of Primaloft to keep the user’s foot warm in cold temperatures. A Gore-Tex Insulated Comfort membrane is also embedded within the upper to seal out water while adding extra insulation.

Aku Serai GTX is durable and supportive

The Serai GTX’s upper is reinforced with a Liba Smart PU rand for an improvement in durability. Its closure system employs metal eyelets and hooks to adjust the fit.

A gaiter is integrated into the collar to provide ankle support while keeping debris out. Also, a pull tab is positioned at collar’s rear for an easy on and off.
