Profile of the Air Jordan 10 Retro

The Air Jordan 10 was originally released in 1994 at $125. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the original colorway was black, white, and light steel grey. Michael Jordan took a break to take care of some unfinished business. When he returned to the NBA and the Chicago Bulls on March 18, 1995, he wore an Air Jordan 10 that bears his jersey number 45 on the lateral side.

The Air Jordan 10 Retro was released on March 18, 2018, priced at $190. This mid-top shoe boasts a Phylon midsole and full-length Air unit. The striped traction has an unstoppable grip on any court. The durable upper is made of full-grain leather. The mesh tongue has stretchable bands and a speed lacing system over it to ensure great foot containment and support.

With all the re-releases of these basketball shoes, no shoe model can defeat the number of re-releases made for the 11th Michael Jordan basketball shoes. The same goes for the first Jordan sneaker which has too many renditions, collaborations, and variations.

Cushion. The Air Jordan 10 Retro features a Phylon midsole with full-length Air unit. This setup provides responsiveness and comfort without compromising court feel. The molded arch gives wearers stability and a smooth heel-to-toe transition.

Traction. Herringbone is a widely used traction pattern and it receives great appreciation from most users. However, the Air Jordan 10 Retro has a traction pattern that surprises everyone: stripes. This pattern is solid when it comes to both linear and lateral footwork. The thickness of the rubber compound is fit for both indoor and outdoor play.

Length and Width. Just like other basketball shoe brands, Jordan manufactures basketball shoes in the standard width and length. The Air Jordan 10 Retro is not an exception. Most reviewers advise new buyers to go true to size. As for new buyers with wider feet, it is recommended that they fit the shoe first before buying.

Lockdown. To keep the foot in place, the mesh tongue of the Air Jordan 10 Retro has stretchable bands. The traditional lace-up system of the shoe uses lace loops that allow speed lacing.

The upper of the Air Jordan 10 Retro is made of soft  garment and full-grain leather. It provides comfort, flexibility, and durability. In the first release, the toe cap has reinforcement but Michael Jordan had it removed. The side panels of the shoe have leather overlays for additional durability and support. The inside of the shoe is packed with thick foam for comfort and more support.

The mid-top silhouette of the Air Jordan 10 Retro makes wearers ready for any event. The simple design and subtle colors look good when paired with jeans, long or short pants, khakis, and even tuxedos.

The pull tab at the heel says “I’M BACK.” and “3.18.95” in reference to Michael Jordan’s return to basketball shortly after retiring retiring. The Jumpman logo can be seen on the heel, outsole, and insole. The outsole also has a list of MJ’s yearly achievements from 1985 to 1994:
