Good to know

The outsole unit of this Adidas running shoe is composed of two types of highly durable rubber compound. The Stretchweb and Continental™ Rubber outsole materials are working together to provide reliable protection against sharp objects and uneven surfaces.

The Stretchweb material serves as the shield protecting the Boost midsole from abrasive elements. It also adapts and moves with the foot, allowing for flexibility while keeping the outsole lightweight. The Continental™ Rubber, on the other hand, is responsible for providing an extraordinary grip in both wet and dry conditions.

This neutral running shoe utilizes a full-length Boost midsole that gives a plush comfort. Boost is Adidas’ innovative cushioning technology that uses materials called thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), which compresses under pressure and instantly bounces back to its original shape after each stride. This cushioning material offers excellent shock absorption, providing a soft and responsive running experience.

The Torsion System is positioned between the heel and forefoot for added stability. It is a thermoplastic material that flexes for a natural heel to midfoot transition. This component also helps preserve the structural integrity of the Boost midsole.

A soft insole is placed above the Boost midsole for added comfort. This material offers another layer of cushioning and underfoot protection.

Providing a sock-like fit is the Primeknit upper material. This component expands with each step and adapts to the user’s gait cycle. The Primeknit material is also designed to give a locked-in feel without sacrificing breathability. The knit fabric provides ventilation around key sweat zones in the forefoot and under the cage.

Reflective elements are also featured in the upper of the Adidas Ultraboost DNA. It helps the runner remain visible during night runs. Another popular Adidas running shoe that incorporates reflective detailings is the Adidas Solar Drive

A molded heel counter is used to protect the back of the user’s foot. It covers the lateral and medial portion of the shoe for added durability and support. A thin TPU coating is also utilized to cover the toe section to increase the shoe’s overall strength. This element also protects the upper from mud and wet surfaces.

The plastic TPU cage that wraps the midfoot supplies additional support. This material keeps the foot in place to prevent it from wobbling while walking or running. A moderately padded tongue is also incorporated into the upper for extra comfort. The tongue helps provide a snugger fit and keep the small rocks and debris from entering the shoe.

For a secure and personalized fit, the traditional lacing system is used. The cotton shoelaces allow the user to easily adjust the tightness or looseness around the shoe.
