Use - The Adidas Adizero Finesse is designed for intermediate-level athletes participating in short-distance events, such as sprints and hurdles. The shoe is designed to provide optimum energy return and, in turn, maximum speed. As such, the Adidas Adizero Finesse will perform best on track surfaces, especially rubber.
Spike Type - The shoe comes with six pyramid-type spikes with a ¼-inch diameter. Like most track shoes, the spikes are attached to the forefoot area of the outsole, which is formed by a spike plate. The spikes of the Adizero Finesse are designed to grip both indoor and outdoor track surfaces firmly while also being able to handle various weights. Additionally, these pyramid spikes work optimally on synthetic track surfaces.
Spike Plate - With a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) full-length spike plate, the Adidas Adizero Finesse is equipped with a balance between firmness and flexibility for an effortless go around the bends. The spike plate allows for six spikes to be attached to it, which is just the right number for a seamless energy transfer between the ground and the foot.
As the name implies, the Adidas Adizero Finesse aims to deliver a ride that is both fast and efficient. The shoe claims to offer a powerful yet graceful running experience through its elements that help sustain a quick pace and stability of motion.
The upper has a one-of-a-kind construction that makes use of two different materials to give the shoe durable coverage, ventilation, and comfort all at once.
The midsole of the Adidas Adizero Finesse incorporates a chassis system that is proprietary to the brand to provide a supportive framework. It works hand-in-hand with a classic EVA foam and a sturdy TPU spike plate for a track shoe that is comfortable, flexible, while also promoting maximum performance.
Size and fit
The Adidas Adizero Finesse is a unisex track shoe that follows a men’s sizing scheme; women should be able to get an accurate fit by going 1.5 sizes down from their usual measurements. The shoe features a narrow heel width to keep the foot secured in place, as well as a low height in the toe box and midfoot for a snug fit. The shoe will fit athletes with small to medium foot volumes.
A unique outsole is presented in the Adidas Adizero Finesse. Unlike other track shoes that use a combination of rubber and the spike plate, this Adizero Finesse has a full-length spike plate made from TPU that serves as the outer underfoot coverage. The material allows for efficient toe-off and maintains the shoe’s lightweight and durable characteristics. The Nike Zoom JA Fly 3 is another track shoe with a full-length spike plate.
Although the Adizero Finesse does not focus on a midsole construction, it has an integrated support chassis in between the outsole and upper that helps with the overall structure of the track shoe. Called the Sprintframe, this geometrical element provides support and proportion to allow the runner to move more effortlessly. The Sprintframe has a lightweight yet sturdy build that gives the foot a closer-to-ground feel, no matter its weight.
A unit of ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) foam is placed in the heel part of the midsole to give cushioning with each footstrike.
The Sprintweb is an upper construction made from synthetic material, which provides a lightweight and minimalistic foot coverage. Despite its lightness, Sprintframe is able to lend a durable quality to the shoe, unlike the bulk that comes from traditional upper materials such as leather.
At the heel area of the upper is an engineered mesh, called CoolEver Mesh, that serves as the airflow system of the Adidas Andizero Finesse. The CoolEver Mesh helps the foot stay cool and dry as it manages heat and sweat buildup. This feature aims to keep the runner comfortable in order to maintain optimum performance.
Underneath the outer structure of the upper is an internal lining made from microsuede. This gives the wearer a comfortable in-shoe feel as it reduces the chances of getting hot spots and bruises, which usually occur when the skin rubs against the shoe.
