Good to know

The Tretorn Meg 4 is a women's exclusive release with sizes ranging from 4 to 12. Guys who want to cop a pair should go 1.5 sizes down from their standard shoe size. Most users said that the shoe ran bigger than usual and recommended going down half a size.

This kick's cotton twill upper provides a breathable and lightweight fit, which could work great as a summer sneaker. Its short shoelaces can be adjusted accordingly and give a cleaner look.

Staying true to the brand's retro and minimalist designs from the past, the Tretorn Meg 4 displays a timelessly stylish design that goes beyond trends and could match with almost any outfit. Its glitter cotton twill upper adds a fashionable texture that enhances the shoe's overall design.

With a laidback aesthetic and superb comfort, opting for this kick to pair with your everyday ensembles could be a no-brainer. Go for a pair of shorts, a shirt and a cap for a day spent on a tropical beach or dress it in flowy dresses and skirts for a more feminine look. Finally, let its fun and versatile colorways further amp up your look.

This pair's most notable feature is its easygoing style complemented by an effortless closure system. Its soft and breathable cotton twill upper incorporates a stretch and scrunches down collar for easy slide on and off while the lace-up closure can be adjusted to provide a custom fit. Lastly, rubber toecap and outsole provide protection against bumps and abrasions, time-tested durability, and classic sporty aesthetic.

In 1891 Johan Dunker introduced Helsingborgs Gummifabriks, a rubber manufacturing company based in Sweden. The brand eventually got renamed to Tretorn to pay homage to the three towers of the original company. They started producing tires but didn't achieve success until they produced galoshes.

Johan's son named Henry was the initially the only salesman for the company, but he must be really good at what he did because the production climbed from 39,000 galoshes in 1892 to 206,000 pairs in just two years. With this much progress, the company naturally expanded its product inventory to include bicycle parts, hoses, and tennis balls. This product range was indeed very unusual during that time, but it definitely helped the brand stand out from its competitors.

Apart from the brand's most famous pair called the Nylite, their footwear category now houses a multitude of Tretorn shoes. One of their many offerings is the Tretorn Meg 4, a women's shoe that offers lightweight and breathable comfort ideal for casual weekends. It is available several color options that are easy to match.

  • The shoe was launched with a $65 price tag.
  • A heel pull-tab serve as an aid in easier on and off.
  • It is available in Medium width.
  • The kick’s insoles can be removed.
  • Tretorn’s logo is stitched on the shoe’s lateral side.
  • Metal eyelets provide durability and secure lockdown.
  • Tretorn brandings are seen on the tongue and the footbed.
