With a unique name to it, one that rolls off the tongue with a sort of elegance, Tretorn’s humble beginnings started in 1891. It was founded by Johan Dunker in Helsingborg, Sweden where the company made do making tires and high-quality rubber. When Henry Dunker, Johan Dunker’s son, joined at the age of 21, the quest to lift the company off the ground and turn it into something amazing began.
The company soared and went from producing 39,000 pairs of galoshes to almost 207,000 pairs in two years. Soon, Tretorn gained a reputation for being a reliable and trusted footwear brand. This reputation spread all throughout Sweden, Denmark, even reaching as far as Germany.
By the 60s, Tretorn released its first luxury sports shoe, and the success of this pair carried on very well into the 80s. The company has not backed down since then, producing more shoes with different silhouettes and a range of amazing colorways.
