Fit & Sizing

The Tretorn Bailey 4 is available in men’s sizes ranging from 7 to 14. The high-cut profile with a full lace-up closure system provides a very secure fit for the foot as well as ample ankle support. However, the opening on top is reportedly narrow so buyers may need to unlace the shoe halfway to get their foot in.

Tretorn Bailey 4 Style

Keeping it fashionably casual has never been easier. Upgrade your look by matching the Tretorn Bailey 4 with slim jeans, a plain shirt, and a waxed cotton jacket to keep the weather out. For non-rainy conditions, dark blue jeans with rolled-up bottoms, a shirt, and a denim jacket will give you that effortlessly casual chic look.

Notable Features

Inclement weather is no problem with the Tretorn Bailey 4. The shoe’s waterproof nylon upper and gusseted tongue keeps all water out and the feet snug and dry inside, while the breathable textile lining keeps the feet sweat-free. The fabric is also specially chosen and engineered to be sturdy and last long—giving you the assurance that it will be a much-loved and essential piece of your wardrobe for years to come.

Tretorn Bailey 4 History

Tretorn is a Swedish company that started out with manufacturing galoshes, hoses, and tennis balls. In 1967, the company decided to foray into the sneaker market by manufacturing a tennis shoe which they named the Nylite. Worn by tennis legend, Bjorn Borg, the silhouette—which was often described as ‘the world’s first luxury shoe’—was quickly embraced by the uber-hip. Just a decade later, the model would be seen on the feet of everyone who was anyone, from Hollywood celebrities to Jackie Kennedy.

Following the brand’s successful foray into the sneaker market, Tretorn followed up the Nylite with numerous other models, becoming a strong contender in the sneaker market, particularly in Europe.

The Tretorn Bailey 4 is a combination of the company’s talent in shoe design and their expertise in waterproofed footwear. The high-top silhouette effectively keeps the water out while maintaining a very stylish profile that does not give a hint of its rain boot-like characteristic.

  • The Tretorn Bailey 4 sports a cushioned EVA footbed and a rubber outsole with grippy tread.
  • The Bailey 4 weighs about 544.3 grams per shoe.
