  • This hiking shoe (the Endurus Hike Mid GTX’s low-top sibling) is designed for covering miles no matter the weather condition. Its ability to keep the foot moisture-free is thanks to Gore-Tex.
  • Delivering footing security and balance on rugged trails is the shoe’s chunky sole unit. It is made up of a company-owned midsole and a multi-terrain outsole from Vibram. Its decently rockered toe zone allows wearers to make comfortable strides on flat surfaces.

The North Face’s Endurus Hike GTX is a generally true-to-size, low-cut day hiking shoe for men and women. It comes in regular width in half and whole sizes. A secure and customized fit may be achieved using the footwear’s lockdown system.

With its Vibram XS Trek outsole, the Endurus Hike GTX is capable of granting users sufficient grip on slick surfaces. The North Face designers engineered it with multi-sided lugs (with a depth of 4 mm) for extra adherence over loose- or soft-soiled terrain.

This hiking shoe comes equipped with a brand-exclusive dual-density midsole made of EVA. It is powered by XtraFoam—a trademarked technology that strikes a balance between protective comfort and stability. The North Face gear crafters embedded a rigid-yet-flexible element within the midsole’s midfoot and forefoot zones. This additional component, the ESS Snake Plate, offers support during twisting maneuvers and protection from sharp terrain hazards.

Helping this hefty layer produce enough underfoot cushioning is a removable footbed courtesy of Ortholite. It has a moderately contoured rear region for additional heel support.

The Endurus Hike GTX’s below-the-ankle upper is synthetic. It has seamless geo quarter panels made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) for enhanced support. Its bump-protective toe cap is also made of TPU. Its main bootie is built with a Gore-Tex membrane, making it a watertight hiker with ample breathability. Its collar, on the other hand, is lined with FlashDry, another TNF-exclusive technology that wicks away moisture for a cool and comfy ride.

Reining the foot in place is the shoe’s ghillie lacing. It features combination eyelets with an extra pair of lace holes at the collar line. It uses a flat synthetic lace.
