In an attempt to merge the skate and lifestyle world, Supra made collaborations with some celebrities like hip-hop artist Lil Wayne, designing the “S1W” which is a colorway for the skater Stevie Williams’ signature model. Another is DJ and producer Steve Aoki, designing the Supra Skytop II with Chad Muska. The brand promoted this project as a synthesis of hip-hop and skateboarding.
Rebuilding the brand as a leader in the footwear and skate markets, the Supra footwear was acquired by KSGB in 2016. The brand continues to leverage the expression of not just skateboarding but also fashion, art, and music. Supra aims to continue experimenting, grinding and bringing energy to the marketplace where style and skate meet.
