Supra Catori History

From the depths of the visionary mind of Angel Cabada and a team consisting of skate superstars comes a fantastic shoe brand that would be loved by icons. The serendipitous nature of Supra's fame boost can be accounted for their extreme passion for the skate sport without leaving behind a good sense of fashion.

It was in 2006 when a group of professional skaters decided to collaborate and release their line of footwear. Angel Cabada, Chad Muska, Jim Greco, and Erik Ellington established Supra with the SkyTop as their inaugural model. The untimely high top design of the Skytop attracted a lot of attention which even reached out to hip-hop artists like Jay Z and Lil Wayne. The company's popularity momentum gave way to numerous designs and colorways which catered not only men but also women.

Women Supra sneakers were not a thing before, but as the era of outrageous lifestyle kicks shook the sneaker market, the prominence of uncanny silhouettes spread like wildfire into the streets of major cities. As the population of women who love Supra skate shoes rose, the idea of introducing female-focused profiles became clearer.

Supra began introducing female versions of their shoes to the public like the Skytop women's edition and several other models that are female specific. One example of this would be the Supra Catori which is a lifestyle trainer with a knit upper in a comfortable bootie construction. Its complete with all feminine details like the Mojave leather stitch and the Lycra lining.

Supra Catori Style

By resembling the cut of the third Skytop, the Catori braces women with contemporary detailing evident with the Mojave stitching in the knit upper. Pairing it with skinny jeans is necessary, but those who want to pump it up a notch can sport the sneaker with skinny leather pants. Yoga pants would also do remember always to pick a dark color.

Four prominent colorways are circulating in the market, and these are the black, white, light grey, and Mojave.

Fit & Sizing

For its comfort, the sneaker boasts a knit bootie construction which rests on top of a lightweight EVA Noiz midsole. A midfoot gore strap also secures the foot in place which has an unorthodox lacing system sitting on its top. Adding to its overall pleasure is a lining which is made of lycra.

Women who wish to cop a pair can avail one in an impressive size range starting from 2.5 to 12. These sneakers are constructed in a women's medium width.

Notable Features

The Supra Catori has some stand out features, and its eyelets are one. The eye stays are perpendicularly positioned to resemble a square which administers different lacing options at the top of the vamp. The sneaker also utilizes a hand-made leather stitch around the back part of the heel that extends up to the mid shank. The midfoot gore strap is a dead giveaway.

Additional Info

  • Materials used for the sneakers' upper are textile, suede, leather, and lycra.
  • The sneaker has a standard retail price of $85.
