Updates to Skechers Skech-Air Infinity
- The Skechers Skech-Air Infinity is a cross-training shoe that merges style and functionality. Its upper was created using a one-piece knitted fabric that is breathable and supportive at the same time.
- A dual-density midsole called Dual-Lite ensures that the foot is supported during workouts. It also aims to keep the foot comfortable during extended periods of use.
- A transparent structure containing pressurized air heightens the cushioning in the heel section. It reduces the shock received by the heel to prevent discomfort or injury.
- It also uses a Gel Infused Memory Foam that not only provides a soft footbed but also draws heat from the foot to keep the inside cool.
Skechers Skech-Air Infinity size and fit
The Skech-Air Infinity is available in both men’s and women’s sizes. It is true to size. The width options are D - Medium and B – Medium for men and women, respectively. A stretchy knit fabric makes up the upper, and it accommodates broader foot profiles. Another wide workout shoe to consider is the Skechers Flex Advantage 3.0 - Stally.
The midsole unit of the Skech-Air Infinity doubles as the outsole. This type of cushioning is durable, flexible and grippy thanks to the tread pattern at the bottom.
Rubber reinforces the front and back sections of the outsole. This compound is heavy-duty which means it does not get easily worn out. It also provides traction on most surfaces. It extends to the front of the shoe and serves as protection against abrasion and impact.
The Skech-Air Infinity features Dual-Lite, a lightweight dual-density cushioning unit. The soft section of this material is durable, shock absorbent and flexible, while the firm part offers support.
At the heel, between the outsole and midsole, is a transparent structure that contains pressurized air. This technology boosts the shock absorption as the trapped air attenuates the force of impact.
A Gel Infused Memory Foam lines the inside bottom of the unit. This type of inner sole works the same way as regular memory foam, giving cushioning to the contours of the underfoot. It also has gel microbeads, the purpose of which is to provide additional support to the foot and coolness to the platform.
The Skech-Air Infinity features a Skech Knit Mesh for its upper. This one-piece soft woven fabric is lightweight and breathable. It allows heat to dissipate, keeping the foot-chamber fresh. The absence of seams delivers a sleek and clean appearance.
A traditional lacing system secures the foot inside the shoe. The lightly padded tongue prevents irritation to the instep when tightening the laces.
It also features a plush collar that prevents chafing of the ankle and keeps the back of the foot locked in place.
Soft fabric lines the inside of the upper. It delivers a comfortable surrounding and makes it easier to put on or pull off the shoe.
