The Skechers Porter - Ressen generally runs true to size. It is available in men’s sizes. This particular model has three width variations, a Classic Fit, a Relaxed Fit and Wide Fit versions.  Classic Fit comes with an average medium width D. Relaxed Fit shoes are made to fit roomier in their medium widths.  A Relaxed Fit medium should fit a medium D width or a slightly wider E width. A Wide fit, meanwhile, has more open interior that offers a looser fit around the entire foot or with 2E or 3E width. The Porter-Ressen’s shoes range from US size 5.5 to 13. Shoes are kept snug by lace-up front laces with metal eyelets.

Style versatility is the foremost quality of the Skechers Porter –Ressen. With its classic-looks and innovative technology, one can wear them all-day at work, at the park, and at the mall with feeling out of place. Imagine the bother of changing shoes within the day when you can have that option of wearing one shoe that fits perfectly for all occasions.

The dressier look also makes it a great shoe for smart casual to casual fashion styles. The classic brown or black leather exterior with suede details give it a vintage treatment without sacrificing weight and flexibility of the shoe.

It is difficult to exactly pinpoint the Skechers Porter – Ressen’s most notable feature because it has too many technologies for a casual shoe. But what stands out the most are the Memory Foam full length cushioned insole and the Skech-Air design midsole with a visible mid-foot air cushion.

The memory foam, which was usually used for beds and mattresses are now incorporated into everyday footwear as it contours to the shape of the feet giving instant comfort. The Skech-Air, meanwhile, is a sleek air cushioned outsole combined with gel -infused memory foam insole maintaining a lighter ride for confident strolls and strides.

Compared to other shoe brands, Skechers is a relatively young brand. The company, founded by father and son, Robert and Michael Greenberg, was established only in 1992.

Skechers was a latecomer in the footwear industry but has found a niche market in casual street shoes. Robert Greenberg was one of the co-founders of L.A. Gear, a once popular shoe and apparel maker of neon colored tennis shoes for women in the early 1990s.

With headquarters in Manhattan Beach in California, among the early designs coming out of their factories were utility-style cleats and skate shoes that are ideal for casual and streetwear for men, women, and children.

Skechers has been rolling out new designs in recent years primarily on two distinct categories: the lifestyle and performance division shoes.

Lifestyle division includes shoes that use their Memory Foam technology. From a new innovation, memory foam is now an integral feature in adding the needed comfort to most of the brand’s lifestyle sneakers.

A sleek air cushioned outsole combined with gel -infused memory foam insole was incorporated into most of the company’s lifestyle designs to come up with Skech-Air. This has resulted to most of the shoes feeling even lighter in the midsole.

Among the brand’s popular shoes that use the Memory Foam and Skech-Air technology is Skechers Porter – Ressen.

It is a classic-looking casual shoe with air-cooled memory foam that provides enhanced breathability. With this technology, the memory foam now instantly contours and offers all-day comfort without the feet feeling fatigue after several hours of walking.

  • Sneakers have contrast colored suede overlay accents on heel and tongue.
  • Embossed side S logo with soft fabric shoe lining.
  • Outsole with visible translucent air cushion detail.
  • Shoe outsole also comes with flexible traction and a one-inch heel
