Skechers Porter - Meteno History
A relatively young brand, Skechers debuted in 1992 and was founded by father and son, Robert and Michael Greenberg. Robert was one of the founders of another footwear brand called the L.A. Gear. During the 90s, two companies dominated the men and women's footwear market: L.A. Gear for the women's and Nike for the men's. No single company manufactured shoes for both sexes. Robert saw this as a business opportunity and created Skechers.
Skechers' early designs were utilitarian-inspired boots and skate shoes that were ideal for casual use. The brand eventually expanded its inventory with other lifestyle designs. Today, their footwear has two categories: the Lifestyle and Performance sections. The Lifestyle section includes shoes such as Skechers Memory Foam and Relaxed fit while the Performance category carries models like Skechers GOrun and GOwalk.
As part of the brand's lifestyle collection, the Skechers Porter - Meteno exudes a classic casual style that is equipped with the brand's Skech-Air technology. This kick is offered in various colorways and provides breathability and comfort.
