  • If you’re looking for ballet flats with a little more protection from the ground, then the Skechers GOwalk - Lite - Gemma may just be the shoe for you. It features a one-piece upper made of jersey knit fabric that has been seamlessly constructed to ensure that the foot is comfortable at all times.
  • The sole unit is made of the 5GEN technology. It is made to be durable as it doubles as both the outsole and the midsole. It is also flexible and responsive to provide the foot with all-day comfort.
  • The Skechers GOwalk Lite - Gemma shares a striking resemblance to the GOwalk Lite - Gem. Though the two models share the same sole technology, the main difference is the upper. The GOwalk - Lite - Gem uses a PerformTex material which looks like leather but is actually a type of fabric.

Skechers GOwalk Lite - Gemma size and fit

Designed specifically to accommodate women’s feet, the Skechers GOwalk Lite - Gemma is available in US sizes 5 to 11, including half sizes. For the width, it is only available in a B - Medium profile. The upper is made of jersey knit fabric which allows the toes to spread out when needed. There are no straps or laces present that would allow users to customize the fit of the upper.


The Skechers GOwalk Lite - Gemma utilizes a single piece of cushioning unit for both the outsole and the midsole. This foam is engineered to be hard-wearing to survive walking on the rough surfaces of the streets. The underside features a woven-like tread pattern that promotes multi-directional flexibility and traction.


The Skechers GOwalk Lite - Gemma employs the 5GEN midsole. This proprietary foam technology is manufactured to be responsive, so the impact from each step is transformed into energy used for pushing off the ground. It is also created to attenuate shock to keep the foot comfortable and the joints of the lower extremities are free from stress.

Inside the trainer is the Goga Max insole. This component is designed to support the foot and enhance the shock absorption feature of the midsole.


Supporting the top of the foot is the jersey knit fabric. This material is soft and the stitching accent gives its a quilted texture finish. The one-piece construction means there are no inside seams that could irritate the skin.

This ballet flat-inspired footwear doesn’t have any laces or straps that would allow the wearer to customize the fit. But because of the absence of these structures, the shoe is quick to slip on or take off.

The collar of the Skechers GOwalk Lite - Gemma is lightly padded. This structure aims to keep the rearfoot locked down to prevent shoe removal while walking.
