Summary

We spent 6.9 hours reading reviews from experts and users. In summary, this is what runners think:

6 reasons to buy

  • The Performance Fit Mesh and synthetic materials make up the more breathable and comfortable upper unit.
  • Many runners appreciated the Passive Stability Support Pillars and the seam-sealed construction that adds both stability and a sock-like fit.
  • The mid-sole unit of the Skechers GOrun Strada is responsive enough and efficient when it comes to providing a platform on which the foot can stand.
  • The M-Strike technology is an add-on in the sole unit that encourages mid foot striking for a more well-rounded running experience.
  • The reviewers noted that this shoe didn’t need any break-in period to fully acclimate themselves to it.
  • The colorful designs appeal to many types of runners.

3 reasons not to buy

  • The Strada has an expensive price.
  • There were runners who felt that it was half-a-size bigger than the usual.
  • Some testers thought that the M-Strike wasn’t very necessary or effective, but they felt its presence in the underside of their feet, which was strange.

Bottom line

The GOrun Strada from Skechers is a popular running shoe that many runners have enjoyed because of its interesting designs, the comfortable upper and robust sole unit. It’s a great choice for those who need some underfoot support, some stability and a better ride when tackling the roads.

86 / 100 based on 5 expert reviews

  • 83 / 100 by Doctors of Running • Dr. Matthew Klein • Level 5 expert

Combined with the specific placements of durable outsole rubber and once the shoe breaks in after a few miles, the ride becomes both protective and responsive.

  • 90 / 100 by Believe in the Run • Believe in the Run • Level 4 expert

The Strada fits in for people that want a more structured shoe than the rest of the Skechers running shoes.

  • 80 / 100 by Running Shoes Guru • Taylor Gupton • Level 3 expert

The Skechers GOrun Strada is supremely cushioned, yet responsive enough to function as a go-to shoe for everything from long runs to tempos to recovery runs.

  • 92 / 100 by Lolo Runs • Lolo Runs • Level 2 expert

If I could horde all the Stradas in the world in my size in every color, believe me I WOULD. That’s how amazing they are for my feet getting all the necessary miles in.

  • 84 / 100 by Matt Fisher • Matt Fisher • Level 1 expert

The sole on the Strada doesn’t look particularly aggressive, but I was surprised how different the shoe felt when running on canal paths, gravel tracks and even over rocky surfaces.

Updates to Skechers GOrun Strada

  • The Skechers GOrun Strada is a running shoe that is able to provide support and protection to the wearer through trainings and competitions. It’s been tuned to function exceptionally well in long-term races and running sessions; it’s even made to be great in marathons. The service that it offers makes it a solid running companion for those who want to have a reliable running shoe that lasts long.
  • The upper unit uses fabrics and materials that were designed to hug the foot snugly. A modern look allows this running shoe to have a more appealing disposition. A striking mix of hues and shades give off a fun and exciting sheen to it, making it visually endearing. In its essence, the upper is flexible and comfortable to the skin.
  • The mid-sole unit of the Skechers GOrun Strada uses cushioning technologies that are very responsive and comfortable. When mixed together, they deliver sure underfoot protection and support. Stability is even viable because of support-pillars that are placed under the platform. Still, this unit is able to move along with the foot for a consistently smooth and easy ride.
  • The outsole unit of this running shoe uses a durable rubber material. It delivers resistance to abrasion and wear, while also making sure that it’s able to allot traction to the runner. Responsive movement is afforded by the GOimpulse™ Sensors, which are seen right under the sole unit.

Skechers GOrun Strada size and fit

The Skechers GOrun Strada has a standard running shoe length. It follows the regular measurements for men and women. The available width is medium, so it accommodates a variety of foot types. Its semi-curved shape follows the natural curvature of the human foot.

Outsole

A high density rubber covers the sole unit and protects it from abrasion and wear. It’s actually placed in areas that are more prone to getting damaged. The Resagrip® traction control makes sure that the outsole is able to hold onto the ground with ease and sureness.

The GOimpulse™ Sensors are circular pods on the outsole that give the runner more responsiveness to each step. Flexibility and springiness are enhanced because of these pods.

The M-Strike® is a technology that allows the runner to strike more in the mid-foot section. Having such a design lets the runner have a more balanced landing of the foot and a faster transition towards the toe-off.

Midsole

The Resalyte® mid-sole is a mix of rubber and Ethylene vinyl acetate compound. It’s a very durable foam system that runs the entire length of the shoe. It doesn’t wear off easily, so it lasts long. It allows the runner to move naturally through the gait cycle while also giving springy cushioning and impact protection.

The Passive Stability Power Pillars™ act as the stability mechanism of the mid-sole unit. They are like foundations that keep the foot in a neutral stance.

Upper

The Performance Fit mesh is an upper fabric that wraps around the foot in a snug yet secure manner. It moves along with the foot; so natural movement is greatly encouraged.

Lightweight synthetic overlays have been stitched onto the upper unit to provide a reinforced fit. Connected to the lacing system, these overlays react when the shoelaces are tightened or loosened.

A Layered Support Zone adds lightweight support and stability to the foot, making sure that it is kept in place and in a balanced position while wearing the Skechers GOrun Strada.
