88 / 100 based on 13 expert reviews

  • 87 / 100 by Road Trail Run • Sam Winebaum • Level 5 expert

If you want a faster, kind of more responsive, more race-ready ride, you may want to go with the Razor.

  • 80 / 100 by Triathlon Taren • Triathlon Taren • Level 1 expert

This, I find this good for mid-distance running. I would probably put this to 10K to half marathon running or just general training.

  • 88 / 100 by Solereview • Solereview • Level 5 expert

It's light, snug fitting, and grippy -- all hallmarks of a product which performs well during races.

The result is that the Razor can be characterized as a hybrid of the Gomeb Speed and Go Run 5. It should be a more cushioned yet still highly responsive racer than the Gomeb Speed series along with being a firmer, more supportive up tempo option than the Gorun 5.

  • 90 / 100 by Running Shoes Guru • Frank May • Level 4 expert

The Skechers GOmeb Razor sits on a razor thin line between a racing shoe and a daily trainer. It features a snug fitting GOknit upper with new responsive 5GEN cushioning for a stable and quick ride.

  • 96 / 100 by Running Commentary • Derek Li • Level 3 expert

The sizing is a little bit tricky as the stiff knit upper gives the shoe an inordinately roomy fit, and i think many people can afford to size down on this shoe by a half size.

  • 90 / 100 by Believe in the Run • Meaghan Murray • Level 3 expert

The Skechers Razor is an awesome daily trainer.

  • 84 / 100 by Believe in the Run • Austin Bonds • Level 3 expert

I'm more likely to grab the Gorun 5 for easy runs if my feet feel sore or tired, but others will find the Razor to be equally appealing and comfortable for any distance. Be it an easy run, workout, long run, or race, the Razor is ready and waiting.

  • 89 / 100 by Competitor • Brian Metzler • Level 2 expert

This is the shoe for you if you're looking for a lightweight training shoe that's versatile enough to run shorter, faster workouts and longer training runs.

  • 81 / 100 by Klein Runs, DPT • Matt Klein • Level 2 expert

I know I tend to throw the term "versatile" around frequently for many of the shoes I review, but the Razor is definitely a shoe that this word fits with.

  • 91 / 100 by Outdoor Gear Reviews • Chad Waite • Level 1 expert

For me, the biggest takeaway is just how well Skechers managed to put together a shoe that can act as a trainer and a race-day option for the vast majority of runners.

  • 86 / 100 by Bestrunningshoes.co.uk • Bestrunningshoes.co.uk • Level 1 expert

The shoe is very lightweight and quite comfortable. It will suit runners looking for a neutral shoe thanks to an appropriate level of cushioning.

  • 82 / 100 by Runner Under Pressure • Runner Under Pressure • Level 1 expert

They were great for all uses but I think their real strength is for long tempo runs, marathon race shoes and long runs with quicker effort.

Updates to Skechers GOmeb Razor

  • The Skechers GOmeb Razor is equipped with the necessary technologies to provide runners an enhanced running experience. One of the notable technologies is the 5GEN cushioning that is designed to deliver a lightweight, soft, and responsive cushioning.
  • The shoe also features a seamless GoKnit upper construction that delivers maximum breathability, comfort, and sock-like fit.
  • In the outsole of the shoe is the lightweight, and durable material with geometry lugs that is specifically designed for multi-surface traction.

Skechers GOmeb Razor size and fit

The nearly seamless upper delivers a secure, sock-like fit. Runners with medium measurements in the heel and midfoot will absolutely enjoy the comfortable fit of the shoe. It has a roomy toe box and roomy forefoot, accommodating a wide range of foot measurements. The GOmeb Razor is available in standard D and B widths for men’s and women’s versions.

Outsole

The GOmeb Razor utilizes a durable and lightweight outsole material that is engineered to deliver a reliable multi-surface traction. The geometry lugs gives added traction and flexibility for an enhanced running experience.

Midsole

The Skechers GOmeb Razor uses the 5GEN® cushioning that is formulated to provide a lightweight underfoot protection. This cushioning provides a soft yet responsive ride.

For an enhanced efficiency in each stride, Skechers makes use of the M-Strike technology. The mid-foot strike zone promotes proficient running mechanics by encouraging mid-foot strike.

Upper

The upper of the Skechers GOmeb Razor features the one-piece GoKnit material that provides maximum breathability and comfort. The seamless construction provides a smooth environment, keeping the foot free from blisters and irritation. The multi-density thread in the knit upper gives structural integrity in key areas.

The shoe also has a molded heel counter that is designed for a more secure fit and stable ride.

The laces of the GOmeb Razor are thin and flat. The air mesh tongue is minimally padded and it gives added comfort and extra breathability.

The reflective details at the forefoot and rear areas are designed for increased visibility, especially when running on low-light conditions.
