Skechers Flex Appeal 3.0 vs. 2.0
- The Flex Appeal 3.0 builds on the success of its predecessor, the Skechers FlexAppeal 2.0. At first glance, the two shoes appear to be no different from each other as the changes are very minor.
- The third iteration retains the overall silhouette of the upper except for the updated Skech Knit material. It is meant to give a softer and more sock-like fit. The fabric loop eyelets have been added on top of the regular eyelets. They decrease the abrasion caused by cinched laces.
- A major revamp is found at the bottom. There is an elaborate pattern with pods of various shapes and sizes. Their curved positioning allows the sole to be twisted and bent in various directions.
Offering durability and traction
The foam midsole of the Flex Appeal 3.0 doubles as its outsole to keep the platform lightweight and flexible. The bottom is comprised of geometrical pods which vary in shape and size and make up a twist-ready pattern. It helps to maximize the flexibility of the sole.
The pods are made textured to ensure grip on gym floors. The heel and the toe sections feature abrasion-resistant reinforcements which also contribute to the traction.
Skechers Flex Appeal 3.0: With protection in mind
The full-length foam midsole guards the underfoot from impact throughout the walk. It is also crafted to give a little bounce back after absorbing the shock.
Holds the foot in place
The Skechers Flex Appeal 3.0 makes use of a soft Skech Knit material to give support in the upper unit. The fabric is nearly seamless which minimizes the chance of unpleasant chafing. The interwoven stability panels on the toes, the sides, and the heel are meant to provide a firmer foothold in these areas.
A lace-up closure completes the fit on top of the instep. The eyelets have additional loops on top of them to protect the woven fabric from the scuffing caused by the laces.
Skechers Flex Appeal 3.0: A couch to the feet
Complementing the main cushioning is the Air Cooled Memory Foam insole. It gives additional padding for the foot as well as keeping it fresh and aerated.
Inside the shoe, a soft and breathable lining contributes to the comfort. The collar and tongue are padded to provide a cozy foothold as well as keeping the foot securely inside the footwear throughout the movement.
