Updates to Skechers Flex Appeal 2.0 - Newsmaker

  • The Skechers Flex Appeal 2.0 - Newsmaker is a minimally updated version of the Skechers Flex Appeal 2.0. Both versions have the same construction, save for the upper. The current iteration sports a soft mesh fabric, while the previous one used a cushy heathered jersey knit material.
  • It has retained the air-cooled Memory Foam insole of the original. It serves as a personalized cushioning unit for a pleasant underfoot sensation.
  • The FlexSole 2.0 midsole is also still in use for this upgraded model. It is a lightweight foam that offers shock absorption and responsiveness.
  • The rubber outsole is aimed to deliver sticky traction on various types of surfaces. It is also created to be flexible to allow the foot to move without restrictions.

Skechers Flex Appeal 2.0 - Newsmaker size and fit

The Skechers Flex Appeal 2.0 - Newsmaker is engineered with the woman’s foot in mind. It follows the standard training footwear sizing scheme. It is available in US sizes 5 through 11, working up in half-size increments. Shoppers can choose from two width options, B - Medium or D - Wide.

Outsole

A rubber compound covers the sole’s entire length of the Skechers Flex Appeal 2.0 - Newsmaker.  This material is designed to enhance traction on a wide range of surfaces. It is also flexible to grant the foot freedom to move unhindered.

Midsole

The signature underfoot experience that the Skechers Flex Appeal 2.0 - Newsmaker provides is influenced by the air-cooled Memory Foam insole. It conforms to the contours of the foot to evenly cushion the foot from impact.

Working silently underneath it is the FlexSole 2.0 midsole. It is a lightweight component that is claimed to have shock-absorbent properties.

Upper

The Skechers Flex Appeal 2.0 - Newsmaker employs a soft mesh fabric for breathability and flexibility. Its nearly seamless construction serves to maintain the trainer’s overall lightness. It is also patterned with a grid weave design.

A pull tab is attached to the rear. It facilitates for easier on-and-off wear.

It features a padded collar to prevent heel slippage. Meanwhile, the tongue is also cushioned to protect the instep from getting irritated by the shoelaces.

This model utilizes a traditional lacing system for a secure foot lockdown. It enables the wearer to adjust the fit according to their preferences. It also strengthens the sides of the footgear the more that the laces are tightened, boosting the lateral support.
