Updates to Skechers Elite Flex - Hartnell

  • The Skechers Elite Flex - Hartnell was crafted for active men who need a pair of comfortable footwear for their daily chores, walking, and light workouts. The model inherits the articulated Elite Flex foam midsole and the slip-on design of the original version.
  • The soft woven upper is constructed in a way that allows for a smooth slip-on and removal of the shoe. The stretchy bungee laces hold the instep securely but expand easily when the foot needs it.
  • The Elite Flex midsole is designed to provide rebound and shock absorption while still being lightweight and flexible. The Air Cooled Memory Foam insole contributes to the cushiony comfort of the underfoot.

Skechers Elite Flex - Hartnell size and fit

The Skechers Elite Flex - Hartnell caters to a man’s foot shape and parameters. It is available in US sizes 6.5 to 14. Widthwise, all colors are available in a standard D - Medium profile, while some of them also come in a 2E/3E - Wide width. The woven knit upper offers a snug, sock-like fit but stretches easily to accommodate toe wiggling and other foot movements. The bungee lacing also tightens and expands, adapting to the foot.

Outsole

The foam midsole of the Skechers Flex Elite - Hartnell doubles as its outsole. The bottom portion of the foam is made denser for durability. It is also meant to ensure traction on a variety of surfaces.

Horizontal flex grooves line the entire length of the outsole. They make the platform flexible to accommodate the natural bending of the foot during walking and training sessions.

Midsole

The trainer receives its name from the Elite Flex midsole that is used in it. This full-length compound is engineered to deliver a responsive ride while being lightweight and flexible. It also protects the foot from shock by absorbing it upon impact.

The Air Cooled Memory foam insert is added for extra cushioning. It not only contributes to the comfort but also breathes air into the foot chamber to keep it ventilated and free of odor.

Upper

The Skechers Elite Flex - Hartnell employs the proprietary Skech Knit Mesh in its upper. Made as a nearly one-piece fabric unit, it aims to hug the foot in a sock-like manner. The elastic fabric at the collar even resembles the cuff of a sock. The upper is meant to be supportive yet stretchy to accommodate splaying and wiggling of the toes as well as other foot movements.

The shoe sports a slip-on construction for a fast and easy on-and-off wear. The bungee laces on the instep are taut when the foot is inside but stretch easily when the trainer is put on or removed. Both the heel collar and the tongue have high apexes and pull tabs to assist in this process.

The heel and the collar are padded for enhanced comfort. The inside of the footwear also features a soft fabric lining to create a cozy environment for the foot.
