Skechers D'lites - Sure Thing History

Robert Greenberg founded Skechers in 1992 with the intention of distributing Dr. Martens shoes. After almost a year, he changed direction and made Skechers into his own brand of designing and marketing footwear. Its first releases were skate shoes and cleats.

In the year 1993, the California brand made a breakthrough with the release of its Chrome Dome. A sneaker made to be worn by both men and women in a grunge vibe which was the trend at that time.  In the mid-2000s Skechers began producing comfort-bound footwear that gave birth to several of its lines and collections.

Since its establishment in 1992, Skechers continues to produce footwear suitable for both sports and lifestyle. One of the continuing lines produced by the brand it the Skechers D’lites which now has multiple iterations all having the same chunky silhouette.
