The mid-top SeaVees Laguna Chelsea Cleat is available in US female’s sizing, from 5 to 11. Some warned that it runs large by at least a half size. It is crucial to know the store’s return policy just in case the fit is not desirable. It is designed with a contrasting gore that offers an easy on-and-off wear.
The SeaVees Laguna Chelsea Cleat is a nod on the vintage classic mod cleat that is widely famous during the 1960s. While it may lack any ornamental details on its upper, women loved its design because of its throwback vibe. Many attested that it essentially a match with any type of pants, which allow for maximum wearability. The silhouette may be optimal with winter clothes, but the Laguna Chelsea Cleat is versatile enough to be worn during any season.
With its Italian wool and suede upper, wearers can expect adequate flexibility and comfort. The superior contoured insole offers additional comfort. Enhance slip resistance is possible because of the signature herringbone outsole. It has fleece on the interior that helps in giving a warm feeling on the foot.
SeaVees originally manufactured shoes way back in 1964, through the efforts of the BF Goodrich tire company. Its lifestyle sneakers are mainly inspired by the carefree coastal vibe of 1960s California. For seven years, the company operated under the radar. For unclear reasons, SeaVees abruptly disappeared from the market.
Forty years later, Steven Tiller, a business marketing major, unintentionally found a SeaVees sneaker during his vacation in Tokyo, Japan. He was captivated by its design, to say the least. When Tiller returned to the US, he decided to resurrect the forgotten brand. Short on capital, he sold his immediate assets, his house and car. SeaVees eventually re-emerged in Santa Barbara, California.
Today, SeaVees boasts an impressive collection of California-inspired lifestyle sneakers. One of its recent releases, the SeaVees Laguna Chelsea Cleat, was released in 2018 with two available colorways. This exclusively-made for women footwear is inspired by the classic cleats from the '60s.
