Available in sizes 7 to 16, the SeaVees Hermosa Sneaker Standard is offered in men’s version only. Women who want to cop this kick are advised to go 1.5 sizes down from their regular size. Its textile upper may not have that much give, but its front laces are enough to provide a customized fit.

Also, reviewers noticed that this shoe runs tight across the toe box. Therefore, it is best to size up when getting this shoe.

This sneaker is dressed in a sleek, minimal construction that makes it easy to pair with any casual outfit. The SeaVees Hermosa Plimsoll Standard can be worn with regular denim jeans and shorts. It also looks great with business casuals.

Sneakerheads can wear this shoe with or without socks.

The SeaVees Hermosa Sneaker Standard features the classic low-top plimsoll style and fit. It is crafted with a vintage washed linen for the upper and durable rubber for the outsole. On the inside, this sneaker uses a custom-contoured, antimicrobial footbed with perforations to keep the foot feeling and smelling fresh all day.

Known as the pioneer of casual sneakers, SeaVees was founded in 1964 by a well-known tire company, the B.F. Goodrich. In 1969, the sneaker division of the company was purchased by Converse but was eventually shut down in 1971.

Then came Steven Tiller. He was then working as the Vice President of Stride Ride Corp. when he accidentally discovered a pair of SeaVees in a thrift shop somewhere in Tokyo. After thorough research and some paper works, Tiller was able to revive SeaVees in 2010.

Since then, the company has released several shoe models, each inspired by some special occurrence in California’s 1960s culture. These shoes have retro-inspired styles incorporated with modern innovations and amendments.

Fast forward to the present day, SeaVees shoes are sold in more than 300 retailers in the USA. These shoes are also found in some parts of Korea, UK, and Japan. While the brand primarily makes shoes for men, it has since expanded its product line to cater to the footwear needs of women and children.

  • The SeaVees Hermosa Sneaker Standard features the signature herringbone pattern on its outsole.
  • This shoe uses waxed cotton laces and antique, nickel eyelets to keep the foot locked in place.
  • A size 11 SeaVees Hermosa Sneaker Standard weighs approximately 15 ounces.
