It's got a good grip on the bottom.
True enough, on hard-packed surfaces and rock they fly. They’re suited to a broader foot (reducing my technical confidence) but still comfortable and fun to run in.
The big plus for me with the kinabalu’s is they are super versatile and more than sufficient for almost all trail conditions.
- The additional Rock Protection Plate protects the foot against rocks and impact forces, thereby enhancing the performance of the outsole.
- The Aerofoam induced midsole offers the optimal combination of comfortability and responsiveness. The high-quality foam material ensures a smooth heel to toe transition for a faster, more productive ride. For creating a smooth transition through the gait cycle, the shoe uses the rocker shaped eRide technology.
- The closed mesh upper and the TPU overlays provide the perfect combination of strength, breathability, and comfort. Also, the materials feel very soft and seamless against the skin.
- The performance of the Scott T2 Kinabalu is further enhanced with the help of the Sandwich Mesh Tongue. The strategically shaped tongue reduces the impact from the pressure points, thereby distributing the impact forces evenly throughout the surface. Also, it enhances the comfortability of the shoe.
Although the shoe comes in the standard medium width of D and B for men and women, respectively, it has a rather narrow toe-box construction and is, therefore, more suitable for individuals with medium to narrow foot dimensions. As far as the length is concerned, it is advisable to go half a size up in this shoe.
