So to wrap things up. If you're looking for a comfortable road shoe that doesn't compromise fashion, the Scott Palani is a shoe for you.
Two things bothered me about the Scott Palani. The first is superficial, but matters to some degree and that is the colour. Orange is too loud for me. The other was the arch problem/minor underfoot irritation. Otherwise, the Scott Palani is a robust, well-constructed shoe for distance runners with wide feet and heavier builds.
We think it would also be an excellent longer distance race shoe for someone who wants a bit more cushioning and protection. I’ve been using it as a high mileage training shoe; it’s responsive but supportive and several hundred miles later I’m still loving it.
The Scott Palani is a road running shoe strategically designed for runners who have neutral foot mechanisms. It features a no-sew toe cap construction that aims to deliver anatomic fit and additional comfort to the foot during the running session.
Featured in the shoe are the mesh and synthetic upper. The purpose of which is to provide breathability and support.
In the midsole of the Scott Palani is the Aero Foam material. It is used to provide rebound and durable cushioning throughout the run.
The eRide technology is added by Scott to promote a more efficient and faster style in the running.
The Scott Palani has a standard running shoe length. With the way the footwear is constructed, it will surely accommodate users who have medium to narrow foot shape. D – Medium for men and B – Medium for women are the available width profiles.
The one-piece outsole is integrated into the Scott Palani. This material aims to give the runner the right amount of traction needed in a multitude of surfaces.
Regardless of the user's running style, the eRide Flow increases efficiency. This component of the shoe promotes a more powerful running position because of the strategic flex pattern. As a result, the foot is guided throughout the gait cycle to deliver a more capable stride.
For users to feel safe, secure, and comfortable, the Efficient traction on park and road runs are provided. The accurate profile of the shoe is essential in delivering traction on different paved surfaces, gravels, and smooth trails.
The new AeroFoam Infinity midsole is used in crafting the shoe. This material guarantees a smoother ride while also enhancing durability. It also provides additional cushioning to the platform. As a result, the plushest ride is experienced by the runner when tackling the challenging roads and hard pack trails. With this technology, the body is protected from the effects of rigorous training without compromising the eRide geometry's efficiency.
The eRide rocker shape midsole is integrated into the Palani. Scott added this feature to reduce heel strike impact and increase the efficiency of the runner. Fast and energized running style is promoted by this component of the footwear.
The Palani’s upper section is made from a woven material. This component of the shoe aims to deliver breathability, keeping the foot cool and fresh. As a result, a healthier and drier foot environment is encouraged.
Featured in the Scott Palani is the no-sew toe cap. The goal of which is to provide comfort and snug fit to the front section of the platform.
Like the Scott Palani SPT, a form-fitting tongue is used in making the shoe. This protective material is essential in keeping the human foot into place without restricting the individual anatomy and natural movement.
Used in the platform is the lace up closure. This system is focused on providing a more secure fit
