Updates to Saucony Hurricane ISO 2 Reflex

  • The Saucony Hurricane ISO 2 Reflex offers responsive cushioning and a stable ride in a single package. It’s a running shoe that aims to provide a smooth performance on the road. Its premium materials and its long-lasting construction turn it into a hefty shoe that’s going to work well, even during constant activity.
  • This running shoe features a seamless design, which basically prevents skin irritation. The interior and exterior fabrics are stretchable; they follow the shape and motion of the foot as it moves through the gait cycle. A reflective coating makes the shoe more visible in low-light conditions, effectively allowing the runner to be safer and more confident when running at night.
  • The EVERUN is the topsole unit of the Saucony Hurricane ISO 2 Reflex. It features high-quality compounds that enable a well-cushioned ride. It carries the foot responsible and assists in dispersing the impact forces during each foot-strike. A Medial Post corrects overpronated motion of the foot.
  • Two rubber compounds are used in the outsole of the Saucony Hurricane ISO 2 Reflex. These materials protect the rest of the sole unit from abrasion and wear. They also ensure reliable traction during each stride. The Tri-Flex design in the forefoot section further disperses impact forces while optimizing flexibility for a better toe-off.

Saucony Hurricane ISO 2 Reflex size and fit

This special version of the Saucony Hurricane ISO 2 has a standard running shoe length. It comes in sizes that adhere nicely to the preferences of men and women. The available width is medium; it easily welcomes those with medium sized feet. The semi-curved shape of this shoe mimics the natural curve of the human foot.

Outsole

The XT-900 is made from carbon rubber. Placed in the heel area, it protects the platform from abrasion and wear. It’s durable and long-lasting, making it agreeable for the longevity of the shoe. It is also responsible for traction.

The IBR+ is a lightweight rubber material that offers additional cushioning to the forefoot section, on top of its capability to deliver traction and protection.

The Tri-Flex design assists the mid-sole in dispersing shock and the impact forces when taking each step. Because of its groove-like design, it also provides flexibility to the foot.

Midsole

The EVERUN topsole is a cushioning compound that makes each step more responsive. This material, which is also placed in the midsole of the Hurricane ISO 5, also disperses the impact forces generates with every step.

The EVERUN Landing Zone is a layer in the mid-sole that delivers better protection from impact during the phases of the gait cycle, thus smoothening the landings and the forefoot toe-offs.

The PWRGRID+ is a cushioning material that adds a bit more cushioning to the underfoot. It also assists in attenuating impact shock during the foot-strike.

The High Elasticity Sock Liner is a breathable underfoot add-on that adds some more cushioning. It’s breathable, so it is able to spare the foot from sweat and odor.

A dual-density Medial Post supports the arch and prevents overpronated foot motion.

Upper

The ISOFIT is a mesh material that adapts to the size and motion of the wearer’s foot. Its stretchable nature expands the interior space, allowing some space for the foot to move and adjust accordingly. It comes with a saddle that locks the midfoot in place, preventing it from wiggling unnecessarily inside the foot-chamber.

The seamless design of this running shoe prevents the skin from irritation or potential blistering.

A Support Frame on the outside of the Saucony Hurricane ISO 2 Reflex locks the heel in place.

The RUNDRY Collar Lining hugs the foot while also staving off moisture.

A reflective coating has been added to the façade of this running shoe. Being a safety measure, it makes the runner more visible, especially when running at night.
